the character writing was very enjoyable for me. i think the worldbuilding is definitely more vibes than anything and i think it couldve been developed/described with a little more effort! which is fine bc i dont think anyones really reading this for the plot 😂 anyways i like that each character’s story is so thought out and vibrant and human. and like doesnt shy away from dark/complex themes! love that for ya readers. also the last few chapters had me clutching my temples and blinking a stray tear or two away… i cant believe im writing these words… but declan you are my beloved. i have to add though some of the character choices were giving jk rowling and i dont think i have to elaborate

This ending was a banger. Ronan will forever be my favorite but DECLAN, I love him and all his mess. I felt so many feelings for these idiots. This may not be QUITE as good as The Raven Cycle (criminal lack of Gansey, Blue, and murder squash), it's still a great time and required reading if you are a fan of TRC.

Holy shit. Holy shit.
I’ll come back when I can put my thoughts into words but.
For now.
Holy shit.

Full review:
Okay. Okay. Here are my (semi-coherent) thoughts.
- Starting at the end, THAT FREAKING EPILOGUE OH MY GOD WHEN I TELL YOU I SOBBED I MEAN I FREAKING SOBBED.
- 4 YEARS LATER. SARCHENGSEY. THE LYNCH BROTHERS BEING FRIENDS. THE FOX WAY WOMEN. HENESSEY AND CARMEN. DECLAN AND JORDAN. ADAM AND RONAN. BLUE AND GANSEY GRADUATING AND JUST. IT WAS ALL SO BEAUTIFUL OH MY GOD.
- Ronan being a dream?!?!?!? And also the embodiment of a magical forest entity?!?!?!? Holy shit?!?!?!? I knew something was up when he fell asleep at the end of the last book but DAMN.
- Declan thinking Matthew was dead and being like “damn guess I’ll go on a rampage” was SO HOT of him and I will not apologize.
- kind of wish Matthew and Bryde had bigger parts? That’s honestly my only real complaint. They were such major parts of the first 2 books, and Matthew had really become his own person. So having them kind of shoved to the side and not mentioned a lot kind of sucked? Like I get that Declan thought Matthew was dead etc but still….
- Carmen? And Lillian? And Henessey? AHHHHHHHHHH.
- CARMEN’s FREAKING BROTHER DAMN
- RONAN SAVING THE WORLD AND HENESSEY SAVING ADAM YASSSS.

This was a really beautiful end to a really beautiful series. I’ll miss it so much! But yay for the graphic novels!!

This was probably my least favorite book of the Raven Cycle and Dreamer Trilogy, but I'm very attached to this story and enjoyed seeing it conclude it for sentimental reasons. Stiefvater efficiently tied up loose ends and didn't ruin my enjoyment of the previous books. Despite feeling it was lacking some of the spark of her other books in the series, I still have to give it five out of five stars because there were a few nice touches, but the five stars are more reflective of my feelings of the Raven Cycle and Dreamer Trilogy overall than of this particular book.
