ready to feel awful for days because it's really all over for me. i thought i would be okay but then the epilogue happened and i felt the heartbreaks and heartBURSTS of many hours of reading this world. ronan lynch you're so loved and so human. where do i go now what do i do?
i'm glad i revisited this world after a few years and got to love it in its entirety. maggie stiefvater's world of the raven cycle has characters that are so human there are fragments of us everywhere. and it will be okay.

This book had a medium pace. I was still interested in the story but the pace felt slower than in previous books in the series. The plot was good and I liked the conclusion to the series, but it didn't feel as exciting as before, despite my love for the characters.
All I could think throughout most of the book was "poor Ronan (and Bryde)"! I felt frustrated on his behalf, being unable to move but to see everything. It was such a relief when he came back to his human self, and it was fitting that he fixed everything with the help of the other dreamers. As happy as I was for Ronan and Adam together, I couldn't forgive Adam's betrayal. Adam did return to his true self and Ronan in the end, but I disliked everything else he did.
Furthermore, I despised Hennessy. She was a selfish mess and ruined everything. At least she fixed the mess she made in the end, but it shouldn't have taken Jordan to catalyse Hennessey's healing. Jordan deserved better and I was glad she got her happiness in the end. It was fantastic when she stood up to Hennessy.
Declan was so wonderful in the book, and he was a great brother. He went through quite a healing journey himself, though he didn't treat Matthew right. He didn't see Matthew as a person, just another dream to handle, and it was awesome when Matthew punched him. I felt so bad for Matthew, trying to live but being manipulated, but he came through in the end by helping Bryde. It was nice learning about Niall and Mór's backstory too, and interesting to know how Ronan was made.
Liliana was the absolute worst of the characters, and I'd go as far as saying she was worse than Nathan. She was manipulating everyone around her, acting all sweet and nice but ruining everything for her own selfish gain. I felt bad for Carmen, who was basically a pawn in everyone else's games. She really had to deal with a lot of trauma and I was glad she shot Nathan for real.
Finally, I really appreciated the epilogue to the story. Everything was resolved well and there were some great cameos from the Raven Boys crew. It all ended happily ever after!
Shout out to Will Patton for bringing the world to life!
