Overall, the series was a 3/5 - the plot never felt very cohesive, and the side plots didn't really feel that important or fleshed out until the very end. But, I love seeing the growth of the Lynch brothers.
this was such a good conclusion to the trilogy!! sorry it took me six months to finish.

I am very relieved that I enjoyed this book after so thoroughly disliking Mister Impossible. It’s not a favorite book - I still thought Stiefvater made some odd choices and left certain plot threads and character dynamics unresolved but it’s well-written, compelling, and a satisfying enough ending to the trilogy.
Rating: 2.5/5
Maggie Stiefvater is usually great at weaving different plotlines and PoVs but this time her execution seemed... messy? poorly paced? I don't know what exactly but I was bored most of the time. Having the protagonist of the series float in the space between dream and reality and do nothing for the majority of the book wasn't as smart as she probably thought it was. He ended up being a side character in his own book. Also, I don't know what happened with the antagonist, but he wasn't on the level I've come to expect from Stiefvater. There were some nuggets of greatness here and there in the book (like Niall Lynch and Mór Ó Corra's backstory) but they were drowned by the mediocrity of the rest of the story. Even Will Patton, exceptional as he is, couldn't salvage that mess.

While I am desperately heartbroken that have no more books in this world to read, I'm very glad that I finally got to this one. This is a much stronger book than Mister Impossible, and also a much stronger ending than The Raven King. Stiefvater does a great job with the character work in these books, and I feel like all our main cast have arches that end in satisfying places. I was also really happy with the reveals we get regarding the Lynch parents and Ronan's powers. Also, Hurray for more Adam Parrish! My main complaint for the whole series is that I wanted more Adam, and he's definitely more present in this finale!
Graphic: Gun violence, Violence, Grief, Fire/Fire injury, Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Animal death, Child abuse, Torture, Murder, Abandonment
Minor: Genocide
So I had a couple of hours to think and digest this book and I just want to say thank you Maggie!! This book/ trilogy/ series was one of the best I have ever read. This ending was honesty so beautiful and ended not only the dreamers trilogy but the raven cycle too!!! I cried so much through this book and I just wanted the Lynch brothers to be happy! Like I was praying to Maggie to let these boys have peace because they deserved it!
So now to some spoilers…. First that ending was beautiful! Like Declan getting married to Jordan like Yess baby, you deserve your happy ending!! And that one chapter where Ronan sees Declan so relaxed, so happy even tho everything was going to shit for him, yeah that’s the power of their love. Ronan proposing to Adam… yeah full on tears. I was so happy and just so proud of how far Ronan has come.
Ronan. Ronan. Ronan. Ronan. I have never loved a character so much as I love Ronan. But to be honest, I do love Simon snow and Baz Pitch like sooo sooo much! Anyway, the way Ronan becomes his full potential self is just sooo beautiful.

3.5/4? Rounding it up to a 4 because of the epilogue
