how do i say this final book was a masterpiece without simply saying this final book was a masterpiece? i'll leave you with this:

"And finally, after nearly everyone had gone to bed, Ronan and Adam lay on their backs on one of the roofs and watched the stars get brighter. Without taking his eyes off the sky, Ronan reached out his hand to Adam to offer him something. It was a ring. Without taking his eyes off the sky, Adam took it and put it on.

They sighed. The stars moved overhead. The world felt enormous, both past and future, with their slender present hovering in the middle.

It was all very good."

suddenly, it doesn't hurt as much to say goodbye to these wonderful characters. especially ronan and adam, who i will miss reading about with all my heart.

This book boiled down for me as Declan in the tunnel and maybe that was honestly enough.

I hope Maggie comes up with another story to tell with these characters, I don't think I can let them go just yet. I was debating on whether I should give this book 4 or 5 stars, but I'm sticking to 4 for now

I’ve had this book since it came out several months ago and I realized just now as I was finishing it that I’ve been putting it off because I’ve been with these characters since The Raven Boys came out a little over a decade ago.

And even knowing it was the last book with them it still leaves me sad and full of emotions because it was the last book with them.

I am a sobbing mess this was absolutely perfect

I think I'm too incoherent with emotion to write a proper review at the moment but I loved this book with all my heart and finished it in one sitting.

These characters and these books have been in my life for nearly a decade and this was the perfect send-off. What a gift this book is!
