This book was everything I hoped it would be and more. What a fantastic end to the trilogy.

already missed my family
Ah, mixed feelings, mixed feelings.
I love TRC. I love this series too. I always will. That being said, the more this series went on, the less it felt like Stiefvater played to her strengths. For a trilogy about dreamers, Ronan was sidelined a lot. I did not expect a lot of Adam because I knew this wasn't about him, but Ronan? The central character?
The cast was too bloated for a 3 book series that wanted to have a solid plot. The Farooq-Lanes committed the worst sin a character could - they were BORING. Every time we got Carmen or Liliana or Nathan on page it was just another case of 'ah shit, here we go again'. Jordan and Hennessy were actually interesting, but even they felt like non-entities in this one. I'm glad for the worldbuilding, the answers, and what this did for Declan's character... And mostly that's it.
Oh, and the epilogue was perfect as the final scene. I only wish it was the epilogue to a book, not a collection of chapters that read mostly like summaries of the chapters they could've been.
