Best series for tweens since HP! My girls and I have so enjoyed reading about Tully’s and Oskar’s adventures every night. Some nights they even went to bed early so they could get an extra chapter.

This series is just the thing for book lovers who often find themselves “lost” in a book. Who knew it was really a superpower?

Can not wait for book 3!

The story drug for most of the book. Apparently this book was split in two because of the length. Unfortunately, the storyline suffered and I don’t know if I’d like to trudge through another book.

Another excellent book in this series! So highly recommended.

A delightful sequel to the first book in the series. Tilly is a book-wanderer. She can travel into and through stories, but books both out a known source - like fairytales - can be more dangerous than others, because they are able to change in a way that other books can’t. There’s magic and mystery in this one, and a visit to a Parisian library too. Tilly and Oscar should beware though.

Here are some of my favourite quotes from book 2:

‘I don’t even know you. Why would I let down my hair?’ - Rapunzel

‘Christmas is about all kinds of families. The ones we’re born into and the ones we make’

‘Books aren’t interested in who’s reading them. A book will welcome any reader. Any age, any background, any point of view. Books don’t care if you can understand every word in them, or if you want to skip bits, or reread bits. Books welcome everyone who wants to explore them, and thankfully no one has worked out a way to stop that.’

‘The magic in books that lets us be a part of them and them a part of us. I have to believe that if the world were in danger of ignoring the power of stories, or that people started thinking in terms of the limits of their bodies and not the scope of their imaginations, there is something or someone or a group of someone’s who would do something’

A tich long winded

I would've given this book 4.5 stars if not for the ending. It wasn't bad or anything, but only very little was actually resolved. It's clear that this book and the next one in the series are just one book split into two parts. Right now I'm just glad that the third book is already out, so I can read it straight away!
