Fun, easy read. I didn't understand a lot of the world but believe the development will continue throughout the series. There was a lot of action and battles, so it was entertaining. I like Arianna. I feel like there is a lot about her we have to learn. The fae in this world are vicious and deadly. I'd really like to know more about the Four Horseman who are mentioned.

The plot was good and it had potential.
There was moments were it was just cringy.
Characters Emotions were overly unstable majority of the time so it was off-putting.
FMC boobs were mentioned more times than taylor swift at a football game (it was alot).
I read the authors note and I guess she had some help/opinions writing this this book from 2 male guys which probably explains why this book wasn't really that great. I wonder if the author would have just stuck to her own ideas this book might've been better but i guess we will never know. It not the worse book ive ever read but in my opinion, I wouldn't waste my time recommending this book to anyone I know.

DNF at around 70% because of a line that was giving antisemitism.

Author chose to write what I assume was a throwaway line about a DJ that sometimes goes by Jesus of Gazzareth. Between both the historical and geographical inaccuracy that went into something that would have taken less effort to exclude from the book, I can only interpret the purposeful inclusion of this nonsense as the perpetuation antisemitic propaganda.

Attempting to erase the Jewish connection from the Jewish homeland was antisemitic when the Romans renamed the land (after Jesus' death, btw), and continues to be antisemitic when this author does it. What an ick.

I really enjoyed this book! Funny story, I couldn't decide what to read so I handed my husband my kindle and he picked for me and chose this book!

Arianna is a demi fae who is a real ass kicker! The plot was very interesting and engaging. I enjoyed all the characters a lot. I have to admit though Ruadan is probably my fav, he's just that perfect secretive MMC. I think the best thing about him and Arianna's relationship is that since he does not talk until he has completed his mission because he took a vow of silence, Arianna has to interpret his actions and communicate with him by her talking and him writing only a select few times on pieces of paper. It definitely makes him that shadowy mmc that is huge right now which I enjoy!

I think the writing is pretty good. I would say the only complaint is that the author mentions that Arianna and others believe that Arianna is a "gutter-fae" and mentions it a bit too much. But with that it gives the FMC something to strive to prove to others that she's better than that.

Overall, I will be continuing the rest of the series and can't wait to see where Ruadan and Arianna end up and what they end up facing together!
