Recommend audiobook version. Very fast paced and Jennette delivers each individual story beautifully. Best autobio I've ever read/listened to. You get to enter her mind from childhood to present day, and the way she narrates each section of her life perfectly fits whatever age/part of the timeline she's at. I felt like I grew up alongside her while listening.

As someone who has struggled with her own parental relationships and had a religious upbringing, I felt for Jennette in a lot of ways. The way her mother treated her, even if she “wanted the best” for her daughter was abuse, which no one deserves to experience.

I can’t say I was so hooked into this book that it was hard to put down. But she told her truth and I’m sure this whole experience was incredibly therapeutic for her.
