I must admit, that though I wanted to read Crash & Burn to finish the series, I had lost my enthusiasm for the series after Ball & Chain. I wasn’t expecting huge things from Crash & Burn and I only hoped that Ty and Zane ended the book unscathed and still loving each other.

What I got was a novel full of action, betrayal, questioning loyalties, brothers in arms, and under it all, a withstanding love. It had its flaws, and Ty and Zane weren’t unscathed, but I was able to see past that to the story of these men standing by each other. I loved it!

It had a full cast with Liam Bell, Julian Cross, Ty and Zane’s FBI team, and the Sidewinder crew all playing parts. We travel from Baltimore to DC and Texas to Miami. We get to see the Gradys again as well as the Carter-Garett Ranch. People are killed, people are injured, and people are saved. Ty and Zane show their love for each other.

There were parts where I literally screamed “NO!” at my Kindle, unable to speak further, I was so in shock. There was never a dull moment.

If you want to look at the plausibility of the situation… well then it was a bit out there: all the alphabet agencies warring with each other; the Cartel out to get them; the deep betrayals. However, it was fun even as it was brutal.

And the ending… I loved the ending! It left me with a smile on my face and happy with the boys lot in life. I’m sure we will see them turn up in future Sidewinder novels. I recommend giving this final book a go! Just don’t forget to read the epilogue located after the credits! It’s a great look at them a few months after the story.

One of the best series I've ever read. Perfect conclusion to Ty and Zane's story.

I can't even express how much I love Ty. It took me a long time to warm up to Zane but I loved Ty from that first silly t-shirt right up to his love of Julian's kitties. I even love that he has a silly name like Beaumont and has a crazy shovel wielding Grandpa. I'm so sad this series is done but glad it wasn't dragged on too long.

Re-listened to this 8 years later and removed two stars.

Reasons? No spoilers :).

* I’m all about action and adventure however, this felt like 4-6 different stories condensed into one book. I can appreciate the need to make the last book in the series a big one (leave a lasting impression) but this treachery could have been broken down into 2 books and/or some of the conflicts encountered could have been edited out.

* Ty and Zane - we have a long history with them and some of their actions were out of sync with who they are.

* There was a lot of Nick. Don’t get me wrong. I love Nick. What makes me sad is that Nick and Ty should have had their own book. They had a long history together and it deserved very focused attention instead of dropping it into book 8 and 9.

This book was pretty okay. I loved the first half of the series, but it had lost it's shine for me after the last 2 books. I'm glad I read it, and thought it was a fitting conclusion to the series.

A fitting finale for Ty and Zane. Our full cast of characters were back and helping them clear their names and ferret out the mole who set up Zane and killed Richard Burns. There were so many twists and surprises, the normal humor, and a healthy dose of heat. I have to say that there was nothing predictable about this story. I was shocked at every turn. And make sure to keep reading to the very last page of the book for an adorable look at life after for Ty and Zane. I am going to miss them!

I did it. I finished this series. Although I could have read this book soon after I finished the installment before this one (which I did months ago), I decided to take a break. I've been prolonging reading this book, but I hadn't forgotten Ty and Zane. I genuinely missed the two of them, and I finally read this final journey with them.

As an installment, I thought this was a good read. It had less Ty-Zane conflict than the other books (which I was so, so grateful for. I needed to reap the benefits of them as an established couple, after all the drama that I've gone through with them). Not that it was completely mellow - we had some heavy tensions within Sidewinder. Not to mention the high stakes.

I loved every minute spent reading this one, though. I realized every scene I read was one of the last that I would be having with this cast of characters. Ty and Zane were adorable. They pulled on my heartstrings, and they treated each other with so much tenderness it warmed my heart right up. We didn't spend much time with Ty or Zane's families, but it was nice to see them again. We spent a LOT of time with all of Sidewinder and darling Liam Bell (who I genuinely wanted to throttle half the time), so that entire group a lot of attention in this installment. I love how Zane isn't quite a part of Sidewinder, but still loved and accepted by the group. It led to a lot of funny moments.

I forgot how much I loved Abigail Roux's writing. She made me laugh, had me paying attention to all the action scenes and of course, making me feel an entire spectrum of emotions. I can't believe it's over, y'all. I stumbled upon Cut & Run so long ago, and it wound itself around my heart so unexpectedly. I devoured all the books, reading one after another well into the night. I have such fond memories of this world - the mysteries, the action, the fighting, the sex, the love, the family dynamics - and it's colorful cast of people. Not just Ty and Zane (who will always claim a piece of my heart), but Deuce, Mara, Clancy and everyone else that had me rooting for them.

I am so glad I found these characters and this story. I'm grateful for how it became a place that brought me so much joy and laughter, where I could disappear and explore new scenes and fall in love with characters that moved off the page, who I felt like I knew personally. I'm glad I stayed for the long haul and spent time reading this long and rewarding series.

I'm going to miss Ty & Zane.

Somebody called the Cut & Run (C&R) series the crack cocaine of m/m and I would have to agree! What a spectacular, heart warming ride this nine book series is. Ty and Zane captured and held my heart throughout -- I laughed, I cried, I sighed and I did not want to let them go when it was all over. I loved every beautiful, tender, funny moment with them -- and because of them, this series will always have a special part in my heart.

Each book in the series built on the last one, weaving together into a lovely, charming love story that just melts the heart in a fast paced world that twists and turns, and simply thrills. The last book of this series had a lot to live up to (all 8 previous books are good) and for the most part, the book ended the series well. I was glad that many of the well loved characters from previous books made an appearance and that was a lovely homage to the wonderful supporting characters in this series including the Sidewinder gang and Ty/Zane's family (Chester! Oh how I love him!).

At the end of the day, the magic is simply in how Ty and Zane's relationship evolved and how wonderfully balanced it was between the tender, the funny, the sad, and the bad-ass awesomeness -- there was just he right amount of angst and tension to keep it from becoming too syrupy sweet -- and I developed a very real emotional connection to both their stories. Ty and Zane are absolutely brilliant.

The plot line (in pretty much all the books) tended to border on crazy/outlandish but I didn't care ... this is meant to be entertainment and it works if you don't take it too seriously (because it is just fun). I must admit, I didn't want to let go ... after burning through the first 8 books at lighting speed ... I found myself lingering on the 9th book just to make it last just a little longer. Now that it is over, I'm comforted in knowing that there is the Sidewinder Series Book 3 scheduled to be released later this year (that reunites the Sidewinder gang), and I look forward to re-reading this series again ...

I can't believe this series is over. Its been a fun ride kids. Now to mourn the fact there will be no more Ty and Zane to look forward to.

I laughed. I cried. My heart stopped a few times. I hope everyone gets their happily ever after.

Edited 3/29/2015: With the end of this series, I feel like i've lost Ty and Zane as friends. Abigail Roux did an amazing job making you want to be a part of their lives. This is one series I can say I will go back and read over and over. I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and read it.
