Lore : unlocked. Edmund I ❤️ you and your redemption arc

A fun read.  I always loved the movie and I'm glad I'm reading the whole series.  I'm not sure I understand how the other books will fit into this story, especially considering where this one ends.

I never read this in childhood and I did very much enjoy this at my current age. It is a classic tale, indeed. I cried at Aslan’s death, which I hadn’t expected to do. I liked the descriptions it gave and the universe it set up. I know Aslan coming back is an analogy of Christ
and the betrayal of Edmund a parallel to Judas
. I still hated Edmund, haha. Yes, I understand all the magic and stuff but that doesn’t stop how sour I felt about him.

Honestly, I quite enjoyed the story. I think I’m going to listen to the rest of the stories (I like audiobooks of children books the most.) I think I’ll also rewatch the movie. I haven’t watched it since I was a kid but I remember it being grand.

So good! I loved it as a kid but with the preface of Magician’s Nephew and the Biblical perspective it was even better! Quick read too which makes it fun! Fun for kids, young adults and adults alike! Also love C.S. Lewis’s writing!!

The nostalgia is REAL! I read this book when I was around 6 or 7 and I have wanted to reread the whole series for a long time. So, I am glad to say that I loved it when I was younger and still do.

I didn't like Lucy when I read it the first time, but I will say that she is much better than I thought. I still think it is kind of lame that she gets a life potion, when Susan got a frickin' bow and arrows, but I still don't find her as annoying anymore.
