Unexpectedly satisfied

Being a Christie fan there isn't a need for much of a review. However this ending was unexpectedly satisfying. A good quick read.

This is a really diverting and enjoyable read for a rainy afternoon. I would think I had it figured out but there would be a twist. The Goodreads description for this novelization appears to actually be for the 3-act play it is based on. In the novel, the wife is named 'Laura' and there is no anonymous tip or parlour game or anything of the sort. It opens with the 'unexpected guest' of the title getting his car stuck in a ditch. It's a really short read---more of a novella actually.
