Ich muss schon sagen, dass die Serie um einiges besser ist als die Buchreihe. Sowohl Taylor als auch Belly waren mir auch in diesem Buch nicht so sympathisch und viel egoistischer als ich es beim Serienschauen in Erinnerung hatte. Der Plot war nicht sonderlich aufregend und hatte weniger Wendungen, aber das fand ich jetzt grundsätzlich nicht so schlimm, denn dadurch bekam die Geschichte für mich einen eher nostalgischen Unterton. Zudem war der Schreibstil ganz gut, sodass man zügig durch das Buch gekommen ist. Zur Liebesthematik muss ich sagen, dass ich im Gegensatz zur Serie beim Lesen Team-Niemand bin, weil mir hier tatsächlich die aufrichtige Chemie zwischen den Charakteren fehlt. Das Liebesdreieck fühlt sich deswegen eher gezwungen an.

in the first book, I think all the flashbacks to their youth gave me the ick bc she was trying to hard. she still is but one cannot help but watch a dumpster fire. there’s something about the burning embers of destruction
don’t get me wrong, belly is still incredibly annoying and attention seeking in all the wrong places. as Angelica Schuyler sang, YOU WILL NEVER BE SATISFIED.
