The way me heart stopped 2 times in 30 min I cant omg but even after the Dante is me man the way he’s obsessed with the girl is to good I love that

Great read.

Wow, this was such a fabulous ending to Dante and Layla's story, I loved it so much! Layla was such a complex character, she'd been manipulated and abused by her father but she was strong underneath it all and I loved how Dante brought out the best in her, even if they did have to go through so many tough time first.

Roller Coaster ride

Holy wowza!! I wasn’t expecting the second half to be as explosive as this was. I may have stayed up beyond past my bedtime and only had like 4ish hours of sleep because I refused to put this down. After that crazy decision Layla made and her finally realizing what her dad was doing at the end of book one, yeah didn’t think it would get crazier. The crazy totally jumped up to a 1000 with all the revelations and truths that FINALLY came out and just made so much sense. This was such a roller coaster and now I am so sad their story is over. Hopefully we get some more of Dante and Layla in Breaking Hailey because I am not over them. Although I will admit I laughed pretty damn hard at Julij’s revelation LOL.
emotional sad tense medium-paced

While I enjoyed this finale, the first book was overall better, in my opinion. Dante and Layla weren't in the same place for most of the book, which is what I liked least about it. The drama unfolded so quickly at the end and felt a bit rushed. But still an enjoyable read.

Loved this duet. Mafia romance in the middle of a territory war. You definitely don’t expect the plot and twist of this duet.

Layla is the Daughter of Dante’s enemy. But one look at her and Dante falls for her. The story takes you through their relationship and the possibility of them making it work with the territory war going on. She is an inexperienced innocent girl, that quickly learns a lot from this very experienced Dante! This book has spice, plot and suspense for sure. There’s a lot of unexpected situations, the suspense is great and how you can’t put the book down is so worth the read. Hope we see the story of some of this characters in future books.

I’m sorry, is NO ONE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT THIS GIRL HAD A FINGER CHOPPED OFF AT THE END OF BOOK ONE? No one feels the need to acknowledge?!

Gahhh I should have just given up on this duet at the end of book one. This FMC was so god awful, I was so close to throwing my kindle every time she made another stupidly immature decision!

The action/mafia plot line and Dante’s character are the sole reasons why I finished these two books. Also, Dante’s narrator was impeccable. Maybe that was half my downfall because the FMC’s narrator was awful too. Sounded so childish, made the immaturity of the character even worse. By 50% of book two I was tapping/skimming my way thru Layla chapters. I just fucking couldn’t with her.

2.5 ★

I can forgive a lot of things, but not a boring book.
If I had a physical copy of this, I would tear it apart and burn it page by page for the amount of repetitive, mind-numbingly dull inner monologues I had to endure.

Layla is a dumb cunt who has almost zero redeeming qualities, and she doesn't deserve Dante.
Also, how the fuck was her missing finger never mentioned again, not once???

Couldn't put it down!

Had to buy book 2 immediately after book 1! The chemistry if the characters and the lives hanging in the balance in each!
