A take on The Great Gatsby. I think you should just read the real thing.
It would appeal to readers who like descriptions of the glitz and glamour of the 1920s.

This is my favorite book I've read this year!
I don't really know how to describe the writing other than to say it was magical. The descriptions were gorgeous, the characters all unique and vibrant, and the romance was very swoon-worthy. It definitely reminded me of a very YA version of the Great Gatsby in a way.
I listened to the audio version and I HIGHLY recommend. I don't think it would have the same effect if I'd read it myself. The narrator was amazing and really brought the story to life.
Loved this book.

Sweet, simple, feel-good, and mildly historical. I didn't even realize there was a romance until the very end because there's absolutely 0 chemistry and innocent, boring flirting. But what carries this book is the main character's relationships with her sister, Alice, and her friend, Caitlin. It's so refreshing to read such reasonable and wholesome relationships between women. This is pretty much the epitome of a slow and sweet summer book.
Strong 4.5⭐️
Was that some romance that began to melt my icy heart? The age gap was a little hmmm but she conveniently turned 18, I guess..
Can we recreate the 1920s party scene in the 2020s? Pls
This story was so easy to visualise. A fun read!

This was a sweet coming of age novel set in the roaring twenties outside London. The book captures some of the fears/scandals of that time, but softens the blow for a YA audience.

There was a lot about this story that I didn’t quite buy, but it gets an extra star for the gorgeous cover.
