I loved the story, the magical world, and the wonderful relationships both family and friendship. The romance just seemed a bit too slow moving, even for a YA book.

i think this book could have been great if it wasn't a romance, if it was about Lou finding her place in society and in her family.

My second Laura Wood book and, as expected, I LOVED it.
The second I opened this book, I was completely torn between reading it and starting to reread The Great Gatsby. Just as with Under A Dancing Star, the vibes from this book were amazing.

As usual, Laura Wood’s descriptions are stunning and the dialogue felt so realistic. Her writing made the book so easy and so much fun to read.
And the ROMANCE. I was slightly unsure in the beginning, but I loved it.

4.5 stars. This book was exactly what I was hoping it would be- light and sweet and beautiful and romantic. Like Gatsby 2.0. I recommend to anyone as a fun and fluffy beach read.
This may be my favorite read of the summer. It’s like what might have happened if Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy were at one of Gatsby’s parties. Delightful! (Clean)
did not think I would like this as much as I did - unexpectedly funny and adorable couple
