It was going great until the 17 year old fell in love with the 23 year old tall, dark and handsome man. creepy, slightly pedophilic perhaps- but i did enjoy the modern, YA undertones over the old 1930s setting. Quite disappointing near the end of the book, I would say, but not enough to warrant a 2 star rating.
