Have you ever finished a book and almost immediately wanted to turn back to page 1 and read it all over again?
That's what I wanted to do with A Sky Painted Gold. For me, this book was close to perfection. The descriptions painted a compelling picture of the surroundings and atmosphere without descending into purple prose. It was just so beautifully written.
I adored Lou, the protagonist, and I felt at some points I was going on the journey with her, discovering the decadent yet deeply flawed lifestyles of the young and uber-wealthy.
There aren't many books which I say, yes, I would love to read this again, but I feel this book will be reread for many years to come.

This book truly transports the reader into another dimension. It is such a fun, quick and timeless book, if one is into 1920/ Great Gatsby era I recommend.
The setting and the characters were so perfect.
Honestly, I feel like I was watching a movie, that’s how well everything was described. I always had such a clear image of every location, as if I’ve actually been there myself. And everything was so beautiful, so fun, I felt like I was there experiencing everything with Lou.
The only problem is that I wish it didn’t end so soon.
