The first book in  this serie and it's nice when each book isn't so long.

I have no complaints. I came here for zombies and I got a very clearly written and entertaining zombie origin and a really bad day for a couple of people. True to its title, this book ends at the end of the first day.

Solid. My biggest gripe with zombie books is when the characters don't react realistically at first, but the characters acted surprisingly realistically here. I think the choice to give them some background knowledge of zombies (i.e., watching The Walking Dead) was definitely smart, but their reactions to having to kill zombies was still human and what I think even a seasoned zombie vet would feel at the beginning of a zombie apocalypse.
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

Had to pause when I heard the word mulatto cause who still uses that term? After looking up the author and seeing he was Danish I decided he probably doesn't know how outdated that term is.

A good Zombie book. Nice plot at the end. I read it in the bus on my way to school. Can't wait to read the rest if the series. Really good and I would recommend it to every one who love Zombie books.
