This book really dragged on for me, almost became a DNF.
Then the last 15% of the book too much was going on. I had issues with the ending chapters. There was a 1/2 HEA, so not what I wanted, but I didn't write the book so its really not my choice.
This book just fell flat for me. Sorry.

So cliched at the end ... but always enjoy reading a book that takes close to home.
Do not read this book. I'm not saying that because it wasn't well written. I'm not saying that because the characters were unbelievable and the plot was boring. It was well written, the characters were very believable, but there is no happy ending. You will feel terrible at the end of this book and throughout the book. The breif happiness that you feel in the middle where everything could turn out good tricks you. There is no happiness here. For the sake of your reader-soul do.not.read.
This is the first Nicholas Sparks book I have read. I found myself liking the story ...to my surprise. I also found the meme "white people almost kissing" to be a very accurate description of this book. And yet, I was amused and read it in one day.
I generally liked the flow, but did not like the ending. It was too cliché and frankly too unbelievable. With a different conclusion I believe this book would have become a guilty pleasure.

I used to love Nicholas Sparks, but lately, not so much. Really all that was missing was the fact that Amanda's mom was driving the other car.
I really had no clue going into this book what the outcome would be and I enjoyed following the twists and turns and predicting the outcomes even though I was wrong most of the time.
2.5 book annoyed me most of the way through, but the ending worked
I love Nicholas Sparks and I love this book. I predicted what would happen, kind of, but other than that it was another classic:)
