Honestly most of the book was pretty dry, but the last quarter had some plot twists and memorable passages. The ending prompted good book club discussion on the guilt/innocence of each character.

I don’t know why but this song has reminded me of this book so I thought I had to share it.

Pretty language. Well-fleshed out characters. Short. What's not to like?
reflective relaxing slow-paced

Enjoyable but not too memorable

This book is pointless. I thought I was getting a pioneer story but instead I got a crappy love story, time jumps that were jarring and no more understanding of just how seriously difficult it was to farm that land in the early 1900's. Don't read this book.

wow such beautiful writing i’m going to get a horse
