Don't let the title and cover photo fool you: this is a pretty heavy book, surprisingly candid and filled with lots of the author's anxieties and self-doubt. To that extent, Lynch definitely "kept it real." She admittedly suffers from major insecurities and, at times, self-loathing, much of which she attributes to her sexuality. By the time she is cast in Glee and meets her wife-to-be, I was thrilled for her. (But now I know that they recently divorced, I want to sob in my pillow, although I suppose it's not too surprising either). Gonna go re-watch Best In Show and then Party Down for the first time!

I was raised in smaller towns in the sixties and seventies, and I really relate to Jane's recollections of life in that era. It was easy for me to see the young girl writing letters to her favorite celebrities, insisting she be given a shot at stardom.

Thanks for the memories, Jane!

A good look into her life. Not too heavy.

I can't say that I bought this memoir because I was a huge Jane Lynch fan - no offense to her. I was a fan of the show Glee and curious to learn of her take on stage in Annie. It was enough that when I stumbled upon her book I gave the cover a turn and started reading - right there in the store. I was immediately draw to her writing style and the honesty behind the words she chose (particularly describing herself). She's a tough critic of her own personality and humble to sing her own praises. It was a quick and fascinating read. I can say that I feel a good deal of respect for Jane and the journey she's taken to make a respected name for herself. She has splayed her emotional and sexual insecurities to her audience in her exploration and acceptance of who she is; bravo.

If you enjoy the work of Jane Lynch then you'll enjoy Happy Accidents. A straight-forward, sometimes humorous account of her life thus far, she doesn't shy away from anything. I particularly enjoyed the section of the book that dealt with the Christopher Guest movies.

I enjoyed every moment of reading this book. From the forward by Carol Burnett to the very last line I was intrigued and drawn in. I have loved Jane Lynch since watching Best In Show and this book only strengthens that feeling. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an honest and unexpected look into her life.

This was very well written in my opinion and I was quite interested in reading it. I do have to admit that I got kind of bored around the middle, when it felt like Jane started to list her roles and costars with minimal emotion or take away mentioned.

This was a great read! Funny and touching all at the same time. I loved Jane before I read this but now I think I love her even more. It really is the perfect name for her book!
