Celebrity memoirs are my guilty pleasure reading and this one fits the bill nicely. Jane Lynch had written before and it shows. I especially liked the parts where she talked about specific projects she worked on, like the Christopher Guest movies and Glee (even though I don't really watch Glee). This is a nice diversion.

Starts off nice, falls off a cliff somewhere in the middle. Can't force myself to finish.

“That was the most offensive thing I've seen in 20 years of teaching — and that includes an elementary school production of Hair.”
God bless Jane Lynch.
I really just needed a nice, funny and heartwarming story to read. Jane's story really gave me that and I'm happy I read it.
Jane Lynch is an inspirational person, incredibly funny and such a talented woman. Reading about her life was awesome.

I was very impressed with this book. I've seen Jane Lynch in things and I watched a couple seasons of Glee, but I didn't know much about her. I could relate to a lot of aspects of her personality and I love reading people's "journeys to fame."

A fun biography that doesn't really dish much, but makes me wish I were friends with Jane Lynch. Reading about her meeting and falling in love with her wife makes me sad that they recently announced they were getting divorced.

Not surprisingly, this is a funny book! It was really interesting to learn about Jane Lynch's early career. I didn't enjoy the overview of her recent life as much - in a weird way, it made me cringe. She lost the distance from her life and it felt a little too personal from The 40-Year-Old Virgin on.
The Madame Tussaud's scene is hilarious!
I like Lynch even more after reading this book.

This was a great listen, as I listened to the audiobook narrated by Ms. Lynch herself, it was a funny, at times heartbreaking and definetivly heartwarming story.

This was nothing like what I expected but was utterly charming and endearing. For a long time I've held the belief that, "if Jane Lynch is in it, it's going to be good," but this memoir just further propelled her into the sphere of, People I Respect and Admire, which is almost as important as the sphere of, People who Crack Me the Hell Up, of which she has long been a member.

Thoroughly enjoyed this memoir! Listened to it on audio and Jane read it herself. I learned a lot about this woman that I never would've known. My only question is why did she have a bard time finding a publisher? It's really great! For fans of Bossypants, for sure.
