I don’t know if it was the relationship dynamic or not but this book took me way too long to get into and the characters took me way too long to like. By the end I really cared a lot more about the characters, I just wish that was spread more throughout.

Another winner from Penelope Douglas.

I'm okay with taboo relationships. I've established this already. Most might expect when they here Easton is a teacher that she might end up with a student.

Oh no, Douglas didn't go there. Where she went was just as taboo however. But she did it in such a way (just like Birthday Girl which I read before this) that it didn't feel taboo. It felt natural.

But, with almost all of the characters I've read from Douglas so far, her hero and heroine were relatable (except for Easton having planeed her entire school year lesson plan before school starts because LOL, no) in a way that's not always possible for NA. And the sass. I lived for that. I really did.
