I liked this book but felt myself wanting more romance. It’s kind of tucked away because of the plot but I wish this leaned in to the whole forbidden love of it all. Still interested enough to see where the third book takes it and love that Meren is committed to the whole burn the whole world to the ground bit by the end

Inconsistencies. I was so disappointed to find inconsistencies in this story (especially with the portal magic). But hey, overlooking that, the world-building is excellent! The magic system is incredible, the characters are diverse and interesting, and the story of Reven and Eidolon remains a magnificent mystery. There were some very nice moments between Reven and Meren, although most of the time I felt like strangling both of them. I'm excited to read the final book in this series and uncover the full story of the three (Reven, Meren, Eidolon).

Inconsistencias. Me decepcionó tanto que esta historia tuviera inconsistencias (con la magia de los portales especialmente). Pero bueno, ignorando eso, ¡la creación del mundo es muy bueno! El sistema de magia es increíble, los personajes son diversos e interesantes, la historia de Reven y Eidolon sigue siendo un magnífico misterio. Si hubo momentos muy bonitos entre Reven y Meren, aunque durante la mayor parte del tiempo me dieron ganas de estrangularlos a los dos. Estoy emocionada por leer el último libro de esta serie y conocer la historia completa de los 3 (Reven, Meren, Eidolon).

Questa è stata una lettura impulsiva al 100%, perché per quanto mi fosse piaciuto il primo libro è passato talmente tanto tempo da quando l'ho letto che non ero più sicura di continuare la serie. Invece sono contentissima di non averla abbandonata!

In questo secondo volume ripartiamo da dove avevamo lasciato i nostri protagonisti (dopo un piccolo salto temporale) e da quel momento la storia è tutto un susseguirsi di azione e colpi di scena, che unito al fatto che i capitoli sono molto corti ci porta a divorare il libro alla velocità della luce. La protagonista affronta una crescita non indifferente in questo libro, e arrivati alla fine non si può non volerle bene, a lei e alla found family che le si crea intorno. La romance ci fa dannare per metà libro, ma si fa perdonare sul finale, finale che poi è illegalissimo, e voglio assolutamente sapere come va a finire!

In sostanza, questa è una serie ya molto valida, che per quanto comprenda trope ed elementi molto amati (e quindi molto comuni) riesce a intrattenere il lettore e coinvolgerlo.
