Genuinely spooky and creepy in some parts. I had a hard time getting involved in the first half, but as soon as Quincy raised the question about vampires, things picked up and the "diary" aspect of the narrative helped maintain tension. I am trained to want a big finale with an action set piece, so I was disappointed that it just ends with Dracula in a cart.

Would have rounded up to four stars if I didn’t feel so damn JIPPED by the ending. Literally no fight scene? They slash his throat and stab him and he just goes poof like a fuckin basic bitch? We got more action out of killing Lucy, for goodness sake’s. Also, I get that someone had to bite the dust and unfortunately Morris got the short straw on that, but he doesn’t get killed by the Count? He just get stabbed by some nameless, faceless delivery boy? I’m done. Stoker, you had me there for a while, but you just couldn’t bring it home.

I have to give it an extra star because of the cultural impact but this really fucked with how ppl perceive the entire history of Romania fr. Also I think I have ruined myself because I had to listen to this on 2.0 speed just to pay attention
