I always found the resolution a little strange/unsatisfying, personally!

A sweet story that reminds me of the fights I used to have with my sister! It would have been cool to see chapters from Melissa's POV as well.

This was an interesting story about sibling rivalry and differences in gender expression. The descriptions and events would be a useful springboard for discussions and reflections on co-operation and tolerance. I did, however, find the polarisation of Marty and Melissa's interests and attitudes to be a bit contrived.

Loved the whole book. Especially the graphics in it. Each and every drawing of both the sisters made this book a gem.

Plot:

The book revolves around two sisters, how they live together, fight, argue, and at last, - find solace in each other.
.
If you want to read a light book full of family love and parents-kids relationship, this book is the way to go.

The Worst thing about my sister is such a nostalgic book for me. It the first proper book I ever read and it remained my favourite for a very long time. It has a charm that remains even when reading it as an adult.

I love children’s lit as it Is an easy read and with Jaqueline Wilson there is always a simple but core message and she is never afraid to talk about very real and difficult situations that some children go through (but the worst thing about my sister is definitely on the tamer side)
