Dark Celebration is exactly that a dark celebration. Feehan couldn't have picked a better title. There was definite cause for celebration with the reunion of all the Carpathians from the previous novels. It was great to see them all together and how their lives have progressed with their lifemates. But you can never have Carpathians without the threat of vampires and that is where the dark comes in. Definitely, a Carpathian classic!!!!!

Dark Celebration was designed to sit apart from the rest of the series with the 'Chirstmas catch up' theme, and I didn't totally connect with it. It does provide a good summary of the couples' progress up to this point and it emphasises the connections between the books as we see the relationships they have formed outside those found within their specified book. With this purpose however, the reflection into everyday life (aside from the occasional new drama with Sklyer and Razvan) seemed a little less satisfying. Also, the inclusion of all the recipes that the Carpathians used for Chirstmas dinner seemed a little out of place... So I would say that the novel is quite light-hearted, and lacks the depth of other books in the series.

sooo cheesy, even more so than usual.
But I still read the entire thing, lol.

Great opportunity to catch up with your favorite characters from the series.

Considering how much I enjoy finding out how characters in previous books have continued on with their lives, I really enjoyed this one!

This book is absolutely hilarious - yes deadly peril, yes men falling over themselves to make their women happy, but sulking and grouching as they do - the thought of Gregori the feared, playing Santa is hilarious

The narrator was great. The storyline was kind of annoying.
