Get a Life, Chloe Brown is the first of The Brown Sisters series and it's an incredibly charming, yet steamy love story.

The chronic illness rep was eye opening to me. Chloe suffers from Fibromyalgia, a chronic disability that heavily impacts her day to day life. So much so she needs to take tons of medication. Some days are better than others, but she's become an expert in hiding her pain. Before she was even diagnosed, Chloe had shared that she was dismissed for YEARS by doctors not knowing what was wrong with her body and that broke my heart.

Red is so sweet and considerate. Whenever Chloe is around, he's attuned to everything about her - her feelings, the slightest change in her mannerisms, and her needs especially with her chronic pain. He truly sees her. On top of everything, Red is in complete awe of Chloe.

Talia expertly weaves humor into this romance that touches on heavy topics. The narrative was hilarious. The banter between Chloe and Red was very entertaining and their chemistry was off the charts.

If you're looking for a diverse and steamy read with positive representation on plus-size FMCs and chronic disabilities, then definitely check this out!

Thank you @bookish_den for introducing Talia Hibbert to me for the 12x12 challenge! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

Would have been 4 stars but I never quite recovered from the 3rd act breakup.
Iโ€™m not convinced she really should have forgiven him; he said some really hurtful things & the gifts felt like lovebombing.

I enjoyed the humor in this book and the representation - BIPOC main character, chronic illness, therapy! It was easy to discern the cause of the third act breakup early in the story, but I otherwise enjoyed this book.

fun and sexy, this book has loveable characters, great representation and romance, and handles its charactersโ€™ flaws and struggles with care. i must warn there is quite a bit of sex. besides that i highly recommend for cheeky romance lovers!

I loved this book! I found myself rooting for both of these characters and wanting things to work out for them. Of course hijinks ensue. The character development is thoughtful and wise. Very fun read!

I really really enjoyed this book! I was kicking and giggling and blushing through a large portion of this book.

I loved how fleshed out both the characters were, and both had backstories and valid reasons for their reactions, which made the conflict far more believable despite the fact that I don't particularly enjoy miscommunication and a third-act break up.

I thought the representation was great and really added depth to the story, though I haven't experienced the things represented in this book so take my review of this with a grain of salt - those who are being represented may have a more valid take on how good the representation actually is.

Talia Hibbert's writing style was fun and quirky and the banter was amazing. I really enjoyed her writing style, but I can see that it may not be for everyone.

The only very slight negative I had was that the MMC gave me a little bit of the ick at the start when he was (in my opinion) oversexualising the FMC when he barely knew her, but I think that's more of a me/personal preference thing.

I am definitely reading the rest of this series!

โ€œThis was where and who and how he should be: with Chloe.โ€

I received this from a friend a few years back for my birthday and finally got around to it. This was such a sweet romance full of understanding and mutual adoration.

Chloe deals with chronic pain that can be so debilitating she spends days in bed. Due to this, Chloe has had friends abandon her. While I donโ€™t currently have chronic pain, I was in chronic pain for most of high school. I related so much to Chloe and had people tell me they didnโ€™t believe I was in pain.

Redford โ€œRedโ€ was in an abusive relationship that left him feeling absolutely worthless. He is an artist and struggled after that relationship to feel as if his art mattered.

The two end up supporting each other as they heal and become friends. Red helps Chloe cross things off her โ€œget a life listโ€, while Chloe helps Red with a new website for his art.

The only issue I had with this book was it was so long!

Chloe is an adorable main chanacter. And also relatable with her chronic pain for people who live with Fibromyalgia. Hilbert does a great job at creating  healthy male main characters. Her books are joyful to read. Many moments that made me chuckle out loud
