The major thing I adored about this book and that felt so different about this romance then so many others was the main character. The main character is Chloe, a young woman who lives with a condition called Fibromyalgia. A condition that causes chronic pain, fatigue, and trouble sleeping. This condition is rarely talked about let alone written about so to have a main character live with this condition and show the struggles of it is so refreshing to see. Yet Chloe doesn't let this condition stop her from living an independent life which is such an admirable thing! This book also doesn't make a huge deal about Chloe's condition just showing it as a part of her life and showing her managing it her own way. A way that works for her. Chloe is a great character showing that she is organized, has a smart sense of humor, and can be a little closed off to people. Her faults are showcased just as much as her good parts, like her closed off type of personality and her rigidness to sticking to a certain system rather then stray away from it.
The romantic hero in this story is Redford Morgan, a red headed, kind, and caring man who will help anybody in need and give that person his shirt off his back if he has to. I never thought a romantic hero could be so sweet and amazing, his understanding for Chloe's condition and how he accommodates for it is something I wish all romantic partners could have! Not only is his personality shining but he has looks to match! He is written as being gorgeous and very attractive so Red has fit all the checkboxes for a perfect romantic male lead. Not only that but his romance with Chloe is so sweet and they both fit together so well! Red's kindness complements Chloe's stand offish nature very well! Red is also an artist with some trauma that he learns to deal with the more we read into the book. Both of them start to become better for themselves and for their partners sake, they both make each other better people and support each other through all of it! I loved seeing a realistic romance like this!
I highly recommend this book and am so happy that this book opened me up to a well written and realistic portrayal of romance! I can't wait to re read this book and read the other two books in this series, I look forward to seeing what Talia has in store for me next!

I really liked the chronic illness rep and the more subtle plus-size rep.
The plot did seem to really drive the book especially in the first half. Readers were sort of coerced into accepting that two main characters who a chapter pervious couldn't stand each other, now couldn't get enough of each other. It was a little hard to believe even for a romance. I wish Hibbert would have taken a little time to build up the romance instead of just "letting" it happen.
I am excited to see what happens in the next two books!
