I loved this book from start to finish. It had me laughing and smiling, as well as blushing and biting my lip, the whole way through.

Chloe and Red are both adorable characters, with lots of their own baggage. Seeing them work through things together as well as on their own was wonderful to read.  And their email banter had me grinning the entire time.

I can’t wait to get to know Chloe’s family better in Talia Hibbert’s other books!

If you’re looking for a cute, funny, heartwarming, and sexy read look no further!

This was funny, brought the spice, and had so much depth. Such a vulnerable read, y’all. Absolutely loved seeing our MCs, Chloe and Redford “Red”, overcome fears, grow individually and as a couple. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

I really enjoyed this book.

This follows our main protagonist Chloe Brown, who has fibromyalgia, who almost gets hit by a car and uses that as a wake up call to "get a life" and she creates a list and enlists her lovely superintendent Red to help her with her list and things go from there.

I absolutely loved the chronic pain/illness and healing from a toxic relationship representation in this. As someone who can relate to both of those things, I really loved both Chloe and Red and saw myself in both of them.

I also loved the ending of this book. I know a lot of people really struggle with the miscommunication trope, but I thought it fit really well with the characters and their experiences and it was done well. Plus miscommunication is something that's pretty common in real life too.

As for the romance, overall I liked it, since it shows a healthier relationship and promotes loving people as they are without wanting someone to change, and all kinds of body positivity and all of that was great, however, there were some things that I felt like were just a bit much (for me personally). I don't mind smut in books, but I'm not a huge fan of public sex and lust at all times. It just makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. I also wish that things between Red and Chloe were a bit more fleshed out as the pacing felt off at times (I particularly would've loved to hear more about when they first met and what it was that made them dislike each other so much, we got a little, but I needed just a little more)

I also wish we got to spend more time with Chloe's family (I know Dani and Eve get their own books, but I wanted more of their interactions with each other) and with Red's family and with Annie and Vik. I really enjoyed all of the interactions we got, but I would've loved for more.

All in all, I really enjoyed this (and honestly read this at exactly the right time) and I'm looking forward to picking up the others!

Not a full 5 stars, because there was a tad bit too much focus on lust for my taste, but otherwise a very nice book. I read this book in small doses to enjoy it to its fullest.

I'm not gonna lie this book was a bit "slow" for me personally starting out. Not slow, slow like it was boring, but slow like I just wasn't feeling the atmosphere of the book in the beginning. I had thought maybe this type of setting for a romance wasn't for me. Also her writing was something to get used to as well + the use of a few British terms (nothing crazy). But I'm so happy that I started warming up to it. Reading it as an audiobook read along definitely helped. After that cat scene
where she saw a cat up a tree and got herself stuck up a tree and he happen to be pasing by and help her down.
I was HOOKED!

These two definitely give me soulmate energy. The way they cared for each other touched my heart especially seeing how attentive Red always was to her pain. He always made their accommodations fit within the range of what she could handle and the amount of care he had for her warmed my heart. He would cook for her, made sure she slept, listened to her, simply was there when she needed him same as vice versa. Also, the way Chloe was so affirming to him. Just like he took care of her she made sure the he was given the same care by her in return. It's obvious they were very smitten with each other.🥰

Also their banter was gold! They just seem to fit each other and every possible way; like they were made for each other. It was such a lovely experience watching them grown with one another.

Now I do have to note that this book can get pretty steamy. And although I don't prefer spicy scenes in books this one I feel like had a decent amount and a good amount to where it wasn't uncomfortable to read. But if smut isn't your thing at all I just recommend skipping over those scenes there aren't too many. Because this book was honestly too cute not read. I'll definitely be reading the other books in the series. The Family dynamic in this book was so good!

Talia Hibbert's goal was to write an inclusive hot romance that showed everyone they were worthy of love no matter there past or present situation.

She touched on many sensitive topics with an uplifting tone and showed that hope can be found even in difficult time.

This was definitely a character driven book, it cleverly set out the sequels that follow chloe’s sisters and I'm beyond excited to read them. All of the characters are loveable, their flaws are so real and makes them feel as though they are real people. Oh and smudge the cat was by far the best and most well developed character, (I'm joking.)

Another thing that i found truly wonderful was Red going to therapy, it want made to be a big deal, it's wasn't tabboo, it wasn't frowned down upon, it was as it should be… normal. It was completely and utterly normal and I will forever be apriciative of Talia Hibbert fo including this element.

Now, one thing that i cannot forgive Talia Hibbert for is making me blush over a ginger. However, the romance between chloe and red was to DIE FOR!!! Like I was blushing and kicking my feet like a school girl. When red put fairy lights in the tent for her… I could not cope!!! I'm not normally a romance reader and maybe that's why this isnt 5 stars as I prefer romance as a side plot, however this was well executed and an overall enjoyable read.

I don’t love a 3rd act breakup over miscommunication,
but the other parts of this book were cute. Hate-to-love trope done well with great banter. I appreciate the chronic illness rep, and how seamlessly Red takes to that part of caring for Chloe. (Actually DNF’d this book last year due to the vast difference in tone and feeling of the writing of sex scene versus all the other cute, witty writing. Still a problem second time around, I just ignored it tbh)

I could not even BEGIN to express how much I love this book. Chloe is such a sweet, cute character, and oh my GOD Redford Morgan may be the sexiest romcom love interest I have EVER read. I’m always wary of interracial romances involving white people but Red somehow managed to be the One True Cishet Sble-Bodied White Man and I loved him endlessly. He’s sweet and wonderful but also just dangerous and edgy enough to be really REALLY sexy. I found Chloe so relatable and I loved the descriptions of her as a grump so fucking funny. As a disabled person myself, her independent streak really resonated with me. The way she makes deals to make sure she’s not dependent on anyone outside her immediate family, and her growth toward letting friends in (and boyfriends). Also her sense of style is adorable. Much as I love Red I do picture the two of them as that Barbie/Lego man meme. It’s what’s on the inside that counts I suppose. I’m really just rambling at this point but please know I am rereading my favorite parts and I have no complaints about this book whatsoever. What an absolutely perfect book.

I would be remiss not to mention that I read this as an audiobook and the audio performer fucking BODIED this book. They changed readers for the next two books and I am delaying starting the next one for precisely that reason. The way she managed to make Red and Chloe sound so different that I was completely immersed immediately. Also her voice for Red? Fucking SEXYYYYY. 10/10.
