This book is actually inspired by the author's sister who died of cancer.
Well, I find this book very heartbreaking. I mean, who wants to die when you have already found someone to love you unconditionally despite of your health condition? Definitely, not me. I admire Landon's love for Jamie. I'm thrilled how he dedicated most of his time with her and how he made some of her wishes in her wishlist come true.

Really the end surprised me .. I can't understand the end .. I'm so confused ..
But it is still an amazing book .. it is not one of my favorite but I really liked it ..
And again Nicholas Sparks proved the amazing author he is .
The movie and the book are completely different .. The characters , the situations ... Etc.
Even the movie is one of my favorite I think it isn't reasonable in one or two points .. I always believed that no girl " even Jamie the angel " could change a boy from being womanizer , drunken , heartless and hurtful person Landon was to a loving kind one who carry people and so on ..
But in the book it been so realistic cause Landon was having issues with his father that make him the careless person who make fun of everything and everyone .. And all he needed was the right motive to be a good person ... anyway I always loved Landon in the movie and I loved the one in the book too he is my favorite character …
A Walk to Remember is a great book and I surely recommend this book to you … it is absolutely deserve your time and money

It seems like I had read some intense books recently so I picked up this novel as a bit of a balm to my soul. However I predicted the direction this novel was heading pretty early on and was a bit bored.
A walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks is one of the greatest books that I have ever read in my life. The movie with Shane West and Mandy Moore was extremely good, one of my favorites (if you haven't seen it, you should). But when you read the book, there are alot of differences between it and the movie. It is about a devout christian named Jamie Sullivan who isnt the coolest person in her school. But she is probably the sweetest, most genuine, and kind-hearted person who ever lived in that small town of Beaufort,North Carolina. Raised by her reverend father, Jamie loves to visit the orphans, help the elderly, raise money for the underpriveleged etc. When cool guy Landon ended up taking Jamie to the homecoming dance as a last resort, she starts to change him into a much better person who gains new perspectives on the world around him, christianity, and being an individual. Not wanting to give everything away, its not one of those teen novels about falling in love and being a typical teen. I think its a real romantic story about how true love comes in all shapes and sizes, and that the unexpected always seems to inspire the way the rest of your life will become.
This is the only Nicholas Sparks book I don't hate with my entire being. I thought it accurately portrayed true, undeniable love...even though it is another one of his recycled bullshit stories.
The movie is better.
Perhaps the reason why I stand by with that statement is because I first watched the movie before reading the book. And while I was reading the book, I kept searching for those sweet moments present in the movie and I constantly get disappointed. I so badly wanted the two to be completely alike that the moment I started reading, I had started comparing.
The book was boring, too much detail. And the movie was so romantic I couldn't keep my feelings to myself. Yeah, I guess I like a little drama, which is why I loved the movie so much.
No matter how many times I reread the book, I know I'll still feel the same way:

listened to this on audio during my trip this weekend and i forgot how touching it is :,)
I read A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks in one day, in one sitting. I knew what I was getting into because I’ve watched the film.
But I was not expecting to be so moved by this book. It's a heartwarming story about two teenagers who fall in love despite their differences and the challenges they face.
The unexpected twist at the end had me in tears and left me feeling grateful for the people in my life who have touched my heart in a special way.
And just like the film I cried.
If you're looking for a book that will make you feel all the feels, I highly recommend A Walk to Remember. ❤️📚
