Great story however it drags at times! I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a great job! Sweet story but unfortunately NS is not my favorite author. Sorry, Nickolas.

4 stars. This is still my favorite Nicholas Sparks book and the film is my favorite of his adaptations. Yes, I like this story more than The Notebook feel free to @ me.
I read this book originally when I was in Junior High and I remember bawling my eyes out and surprise surprise I bawled my eyes out all over again 15 or so years later. I will say that I definitely think the movie is better as the characters are a lot more fleshed out and the romance makes me swoon every single time but that’s just me. It doesn't take away from the romance in the novel because it still is really well done. Landon and Jamie’s romance is just so beautiful and heartbreaking and timeless and I love the way that Sparks wrote it. It’s simple and yet so engrossing. It’s a quick read but it packs such an emotional punch that just hits me so hard. I’m glad that I’ve finally gotten around to re-reading this, it was definitely worth it.

A Walk to Remember... hum...I'm not sure what to say. I wanted to love, love this book as I love the movie so much. But when it came to the book I found it to be a bit bla, it didn't seem to have that spark that was in movie.
Some parts were similar to the movie.
I felt the characters were a bit flat. While the book went on the more the characters seem to come to live. As for the writing style it was more simple than what I thought it was going to be. By the time the last few chapters came I was getting use to the writing style and characters but then it was the end. While other parts felt slow there were some parts I love, like the Christmas scene which was hands down one of my favorite part. This book was okay, good-ish read that I was hoping I wanted oh, so much to love...
