Is it possible for a book to be more gutting and beautiful than Pax, the first? I could barely breath the last 30 pages. I love Peter now than I did before and I feel so much more complete with Pax's journey than before.

Is it weird to say this book made me want kids? Probably. Do I care? No.

Great second story. I think I liked it better than the first one!

As with the first, kids liked Pax's story more than Peter's. More sweet than bitter, but I think kids had a hard time relating to Peter's desire to remain detached and alone. Lots of good discussion about not hardening our hearts. We all would've enjoyed a little more about the ending details. Overall enjoyable read with my 5, 10, and 13yo.
