listening to audio books has its pros and cons. having arlo scream into the silence just to hear the word “epilogue” is DEFINITELY a con.

this was amazing. i’m so glad this book series is character driven. because they are all so important to me and i love them so much. i could have done without riadnes point of view (especially because the audio book did not explain the time jumps and i was overly confused). also, she wanted to kill aurelian....... another reason she does not deserve anything. no one comes near my star wars fanboy.

“it’s time to wake up rory jarsdel” goosebumps. i cannot wait to unravel everything about arlos past and more about celedans future. and i need everyone else to survive. this finale was enough already.

The amazing sequel to A DARK AND HOLLOW STAR that I simply could not put down.

A CRUEL AND FATED LIGHT really dove into character development and we learned so much more about each character’s wants and dreams. I was loving the role of Celadon and Theo in this book, they really helped propel the series forward.

Yet another appreciation review regarding the LGBTQ+ rep- letting the readers know Celadon is ace really made me feel seen as an asexual individual myself. I would love to see this expanded upon. The queer diversity in this book is incredible.

The first 500 pages or so, I was loving the vibes and the pacing of the story. I was loving spending time in the characters’ world and getting to know them. Then. The last one hundred and fifty pages had me pulling my hair and screaming. How could you Ashley Shuttleworth!!!! HOW COULD YOU END IT LIKE THAT!!!!!

5/5 stars, I can’t wait for the next book!!
