Such a cute story!! Love listening to these on audible romance package! Best friends sister to fake girlfriend to love... it was so good!
Cooper Armstrong is an NFL quarterback, first year as a starter. Football has been his life, long supported by his mom. His best friend since 2nd grade is Trent, and Violet is Trent's sister. Cooper has always considered Violet a friend, but one night at a bachelor auction for charity, Violet has to come to Cooper's rescue to save him from an aggressive, borderline stalker-type local radio host.
Cooper kisses Violet at the auction and it lights up everything in his brain that used to only light up for football. As Cooper's team approaches the last few games of the season, hoping to clinch a playoff spot, they start spending more time together. They don't really have to get to know each other, but they get to a point where they realize (separately) that they've actually been hiding deeper feelings for one another for a very long time - longer for Violet but we know boys are usually slower to catch up on these things ;)
No dramatic 3rd act breakup, just the tiniest little miscommunication that is resolved within just a few pages.
This is a FUN feel-good story with quite a bit going on in the spicy scenes too.

Lauren Blakely knows I have a favorite Blakely Boy, but she keeps trying to make me love a different one with every book she puts out. Cooper is freaking AMAZING, and heart-stoppingly swoony. How could I not have fallen a little in love with him? And Violet? Simply put, she's a great heroine. Add in that it's a sports romance (my favorite), and I can honestly say I was hooked from the first page! Read it, and fall in love all over again with Lauren's way of writing a sweet and HOT romance!

How they have their own secret signals it made their story unique.
I think though what worked best for me was that even though Violet is his best friends little sister her brother didn’t blow his top. That usually doesn’t happen in books where you fall for your friends sister and I think maybe that is why I liked this book so much.
Lauren always surprises me in all the best ways. Very low drama it was a fantastic sports romance with game scenes!!

This book kept me swooning and dying for more. I had to quickly follow up the audio book with reading it and bought the entire series afterwards.
