Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes! I loved Cooper and Violet. They were funny, sexy, and adorable. Can’t wait to see more of these characters.
This was an overall cute and light, friends to lovers romance between a quarterback and his best friend’s sister. The H is a nice guy who’s been a bit of a playboy in the past and the h is funny and sweet. They start fake dating because of a situation and then continue it mutually. His eyes opening up to how he’s always been attracted to her and how he slowly realizes he’s in love with her was entertaining. I could have done without so many mentions of the H’s sexual history but thankfully they were vague even if they popped up several times.
The story’s also told solely in the H’s POV which is always different, there are also some text messages between the h and her friend to get a peek in her thoughts. His teammates make fun side characters and add interest for their eventual stories. We get a couple short epilogues wrapping up their HEA and I’m sure they’ll pop up in other books. No ow/om drama (although the fake relationship starts because of a lady making the H uncomfortable), neither are virgins (unknown how long it’s been for her and he’s been celibate for most of the season due to superstition), bc discussed/used.

I'm going to be honest here - I LOVED THIS BOOK SO HARD. Seriously, in love with her brother's best friend is one of my favorite storylines, and this author managed to have the book completely by that best friend's POV and I LOVED IT. It didn't have the usual angst of the unreturned love as they usually do, but this was fun and refreshing and really well done.

Super cute story. Cooper is an NFL quarterback whose team participates in a bachelor auction every year. Cooper has a bit of a crazy fan who has her own radio show and could cause Cooper problems if he isn't careful. He's nervous because he knows this superfan will bid on him and won't take kindly to a polite rebuff of her advances if she wins. Violet, the sister of his best friend, is at the event to style the guys' hair. In a last-minute act of desperation, Cooper says he'll pay for it if Violet bids on him and wins, and that's exactly what happens. But because of his high profile, they can't just slink off separately and expect nobody to ask questions, and lots of questions are asked. So Cooper and Violet pretend to be a real couple... which turns into the real thing, though neither of them are sure whether the other one is still playing a role or serious. But of course things work out. It would be a crappy ending if they didn't! :-)
I absolutely adored everything about this friends to lovers romance! It is heartwarming, fun & flirty, sweet and very hot & sexy! Cooper and Violet have been close friends since they were kids, always having each others backs. Now as adults, things haven't changed when Violet comes to Coopers rescue during the charity bachelor auction held by Coopers team. She bids an obscene amount to save Cooper from someone Cooper absolutely did not want to be alone with. When put on the spot, Cooper and Violet pretend to be having a relationship. Everyone is so excited for a love story between the sexy new Quarterback and the hometown girl, that they are forced to go along with it. As Cooper and Violet try to come up with answers to questions about their relationship, their answers just may have a shred of truth. Cooper realizes he is so attracted to his sexy friend, and their chemistry is off the charts. But does she feel the same or is she just paying him back for saving her years earlier? They knew so much about each other, and had such history, that they "can't see the forest for the trees".
I loved Cooper and Violet, they were so in sync, and perfect for each other. Ms. Blakely expertly weaved a beautiful and intoxicating love story with genuine characters, witty banter and explosive chemistry. It didn't have angst, or a lot of drama, but still had the emotional oomph that I love. This story is the perfect blend of humor, charm, emotion and steam. This book captured my heart and made me feel happy and totally satisfied.
This was a great start to this group of friends and I can't wait to read Jones' and Jillians' story in 'Most Likely To Score' next!

Lauren Blakely is one of the hardest authors to review. She can deliver the goods, like nobodies business, but it's hard to put into words your thoughts without giving too much away. Most Valuable Playboy is another diamond. Whether you love or hate Cooper, the delight comes from getting inside the mind of a semi reformed playboy. He's cocky, famous and clueless when it comes to women. One in particular blows his mind and runs off with his heart. Violet is everything he desires, but never knew he wanted. Life is about to get interestingly complicated in this laugh out loud, irresistible courtship. Ms. Blakely is always a sure bet for an entertaining read.
Cooper and Violet, wow loved this book. I love all Lauren Blakely stories and this one was over the top. I want more like this one. The romance is amazing, the story flowed perfectly, I read it in one sit and still wanted more.
