it's fine. I wouldn't read it again.

Friends to lovers. I love these books because although there’s always a little drama, it doesn’t derail the whole world and make everyone go batsgit crazy.

Just when I think Lauren Blakely can’t write anything more entertaining than the book before, she comes out with another amazing book. Her writing is so easy to get lost in, she builds a world for you to dive into and that you never want to leave. I wanted to go hang out with Cooper and Violet. Lauren’s writing always hits me with all the feels, I laughed, man, so many laughs in this book. I also shed a few tears… I couldn’t help it. It had sweet moments too. I just can’t believe it took me so long to finally get my ears on this one. Note to self: Don’t make LB’s characters wait.

This book is fantastic! It’s a fake romance but it’s also a sports romance. The combination of the two is genius. It works so well. As a football (yes, I do mean American Football) fan I loved the sports aspect of the story, I really enjoyed the fact that the sport wasn’t an afterthought, it played a part in the story, it’s not just a sports romance because the character happens to be a football player. I love that it's all told from Cooper's POV.

I loved these characters. All of them. I’m looking forward to stories from a few of Cooper’s teammates in the future… I hope. Pretty please!
Violet was awesome! I just loved her so much. She was smart and funny. Independent and feisty. She was also sweet and able to hold her own in a room full of football players. Vi had such a big heart. I wanna be her friend.
Cooper… swoon! Ok, so I am completely in love with Cooper. He was a sweetheart. His heart was nearly always in the right place and he had so much love to give, whether it be to Vi, or his time at the hospital, he was such a good guy. He was also funny and charming, and a damn fine football player. Sure, I wanted to slap him upside the head a time or two, but mainly I just wanted to hug him… among other erm, fun activities lol.

I just adored the progression of Cooper and Violet’s relationship. Watching them go from friends that may have had an inappropriate thought or two, to realising they were in love. It was beautiful. The sexual tension between the characters was palpable and gave the story an edge. I really enjoy that Lauren never fills her books with unnecessary sex scenes, they always make sense to the story and the same happens with this book, it’s about half-way, maybe more before anything sexual happens and then the way it was done was utter perfection and I loved it, and of course, once the sexy times start your earphones are at risk of melting.

This book is performed superbly by Zachary Webber. He’s always so entertaining and this book was no different. Zachary’s performance was wonderful, he hits the comedic moments so perfectly, I can’t help but laugh out loud and his delivery of the emotional parts of the story are so heartfelt, I even got a little emotional myself. I really don’t think there is an emotion he cannot deliver on. Let’s not forget the sexy times, sheesh, talk about panty-melting. The production was smooth, with no issues at all, I really enjoyed the cheering sound effects at the beginning and end of the book.

Nothing to crazy m. Typical fake dating, best friends sister. Violet and coopers banter was entertaining though. Spice was great. Not gonna continue the series tho

4 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is an absolutely precious Friends To Lovers book. The premise is: A date with Cooper is being auctioned for charity, and Violet steps in to save from from an overzealous fan that wants to win the bidding war. Cooper and Violet are cute as heck. They’ve been besties since forever and haven’t ever blurred those lines until they’re standing on that stage and the room is screaming KISS! The catch: Violet is Cooper’s best friend’s sister.

It’s very rare that experience a first when it comes to reading, but this was my first romance completely from the male main characters perspective. And quite frankly, I’m a little bit surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Lately I’ve been so picky and have had to put books down if they’re written in only one view point. But I made the decision to power through and I’m glad I did. It was very clear it was written by a women, let be upfront about that.

I'm very picky about sports romances especially ones that contain football. With this being said Lauren Blakely knocked it out of the park with this book. I know that's a baseball reference. ;) But anyway I really loved how she grasped the football aspect of the story. Her storytelling shows she did her research and I was left very impressed with the sports part of the book.

Now on to Cooper and Violet, I think they are my new favorite couple. They are made for each other and I loved the dynamic of this couple. Cooper was sweet, loving, caring, cocky, and I loved the heart he had. Cooper was such a sweetie but he also has a dirty side and OMG! I had to fan myself at one point. Violet was such a good match for Cooper. She was smart, funny, sassy, independent and didn't take any of his mess. There is just something about this couple I just can't get enough of!

I've read many books by Blakely and as usual I'm left with a huge smile and happy heart when I'm finished. Her writing is real and refreshing. The drama is never over the top and all matters are handled in a realistic manner. Blakely has such a way with words and I'm sad this story is over! Well done and I can't wait for Jones and Jillian's story.

I love Sports Romance. I love Brother's Best Friend. I love Friends to Lovers. I love this book.

Lauren Blakely doesn't fail. Her books always leave me happy. Even better when she has the best narrators.

When Cooper is about to be auctioned off in the teams annual Bachelor Auction to a pushy reporter he needs someone quick to bail him out. Violet knows the signal and makes sure Cooper's virtue is safe. This leads to a little fake dating kiss that sparks a flame that has been building for years.

I really enjoyed this book. I am an absolute sucker for friends to lovers and best friends sister books - and this one was so fun. I really loved the connection between our two main characters and I loved the friendships they had around them as well. Lots of fun and I'd love to continue the series as well. Would recommend.
