Most Valuable Playboy was an enjoyable, entertaining, sweet and lighthearted story. That drew me in from the start and was extremely easy to read. Mainly because of how fun, engaging and likable the two main characters Violet and Cooper are. Not to mention this story has a really great cast of secondary characters. Including Violets brother and Coopers best friend Trent, his wife Holly. Coopers agent Ford and his mum. As well as Coopers teammates. Who were all hilarious when together and I'm really excited to see that there will be more stories featuring them in the future.
And as for Most Valuable Player I thought it was a really good story. That I would happily recommend to others.

This is a good series if you are a huge football fan. I'm not so I didn't get enough out of it. Also, the author lost me a couple of times during some of the "discovery times" that this couple has.
I really enjoyed how sporty this novel is. I think I love it more because it’s the first time I read a full-blown sports romance that actually did focus more on it rather than other stuff.
Cooper and Violet was so cute! And their characters are funny and interesting.

Lauren Blakely scores another touchdown with Most Valuable Playboy. Charm. Humor. Forbiddance. Male POV. Football. Pretend relationship. Sexual tension. Cooper Armstrong. Violet Pierson. A bachelor auction… What more could you ask for? This book had it all and I enjoyed every second of it. I'm calling an audible and changing up the order of my favorite Blakey boys because the dreamy and lovable quarterback, Cooper Armstrong, needs to be on that list.
When I first learned Lauren Blakely was releasing a full length football romance -we got a glimpse of her sport romance skills with the novella Out of Bounds - I was over the moon excited. Like being drafted by your hometown NFL team excited. Like throwing a 60 yard pass into the end zone to win the game excited. Like winning an MVP award excited. With all this excitement, I am beyond thrilled that Lauren not only met expectations but exceeded them. I mean, of course she did. The women is a pro, an absolute pro, at the friends to lovers/ best friend's sisters/ fake relationship tropes. Each story better than the last.
Most Valuable Playboy is equal parts humor, heart, and amazing character chemistry. Cooper and Violet are perfect together. They share a bond that goes much farther than just friendship; even before they enter their faux relationship. The way Violet initially came to Cooper's rescue without being asked because she just knew he needed her proves it. They were so in sync with each other. Their back and forth banter and jokes were easy and fun. I just loved them. The forbidden element gave this story an incredibly sexy and delicious tension. He wanted her. She wanted him. But obligations, hidden feelings and fear stood in their way from going after what they wanted. Goodness! This story is so good. So soooo good.
I could not get enough of this book. If you are looking for a book with a sweet, charismatic guy to swoon over or a kick-ass, strong and independent female to admire or a fun, captivating story to get lost in, well the queen of the rom-com has just what you need. I simply had the best time reading Most Valuable Playboy. I'm excited to see what more this team has to offer.

I learned a long time ago that Lauren Blakely can write any hero. Any romance story. Any subject matter. And every time I read one of her books, I say 'wow, she can write anything.' And she's giving us another football romance to add to her list of goodness. Most Valuable Playboy is Lauren's newest gem. It's a new story, a new set of characters and a fun plot! I'm in love with Lauren's series' and I long to discover how she always puts in little connections throughout all her books. But, I also loved reading these new, fresh, exciting characters. I loved learning things about people we haven't met yet. People I loved from the first page and already want more of. As always, we are entertained with her outstanding writing, humor, sexiness, sarcasm, friendship and just all around fun! I only stopped smiling to fan myself. Cooper is the sexy starting quarterback and Violet owns a salon. They have been friends since they were kids. Violet is Cooper's best friend's sister. There has always been a connection, a mutual caring and respect. They've always laughed together and been there for each other in good and bad. I love a good friends to lovers story and this one is fantastic. There's a sizzling between them from the very start. It's just under the surface ready to overflow as soon as they touch. When a sweet Hail Mary pass by Violet saves Cooper, she just holds on for the ride when he kisses her. Cooper didn't expect the sparks when their lips touched. This is Violet. His friend. His best friend's sister. Sure, she's gorgeous and funny and talented. But she's Violet. Yes, she's Violet. When the kiss turns into a declaration that she's his girlfriend, it turns into the greatest opportunity. A well placed pump fake can make all the difference in the game. And this is a game, right? What happens when the pretend kisses turn into more. When the touches ignite that fire again? Can Cooper do The Drive and get the girl or get sacked in the end zone? I loved this story! I love football. I love romance. I love Lauren. This is the trifecta for me!
“You forgot I can tackle,” I say, tugging her under me on the couch. “I don’t just throw. I can tackle, and pin you, and keep you.”
Honestly, if there’s a sexier sight than her in my bed wearing my number, I won’t believe it.
“Vi, baby. It’s never been like this.”
“I know.” Her voice sounds as if it’s breaking.
I thrust, and a shudder wracks my whole damn body. “Never.”

Most Valuable Player Stars
I loved the dynamic between these two, and I liked that they were friends first.
How they have their own secret signals it made their story unique.
I think though what worked best for me was that even though Violet is his best friends little sister her brother didn’t blow his top. That usually doesn’t happen in books where you fall for your friends sister and I think maybe that is why I liked this book so much.
Lauren always surprises me in all the best ways. Very low drama it was a fantastic sports romance with game scenes!!
Loved Zachary Webbers performance!
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Another fun romantic book by Lauren Blakely! This story made my heart smile and my insides a little mushy! It was a very sweet friends to lovers story with NO drama!!! I love how Lauren Blakley can give us a beautiful romance without the need for the unnecessary drama added just for excitement.
Cooper is a great character for me because he is rich and well known but he doesn't act it! He didn't use his money to impress her and the money didn't change who he was. He still hung out with his friends, focused on his love for football and was a complete momma's boy in the best way!
Violet might be my favorite character! She is strong and confident. She stuck to her feelings, never trying to hide behind them or had insecurities! With her business, her family and her love life she always seemed to do what felt right and didn't really play "games". She knew who she was, what she felt and she didn't try to fight it! These too had great chemistry and I think that stems from the years they have known each other. I love friends to lovers because the love is not instantaneous and it is so easy to feel the love between the characters because you know it's not just physical attraction after all those years! Although I will say this book was light on sex but the few scenes it had were very hot!
The narration was spot on as always! You can sure tell the author is an audiobook listener, it shows in her casting choices! Zachary Webber has a great voice and perfect tone for a laid back good guy!
