Not bad and I'll probably read the next one, but I've read much better sports romances and thought overall this one was just okay.

I thought this book was a great first book in the series, it introduced the rest of the male leads for the book. I loved Violet and Cooper but I just felt like there was something missing. Also I think the is the very first book that it’s completely in the male’s pov so that’s fun, I am however excited for Jones and Jillian’s book, bumped for that one.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Things I liked:
  • Jones and Jillian, I have my eye on you
  • Damn Violet yelled out ten-thousand dollars lol
  • “Then I think fuck it. I grab her slim hips, lift her on stage, and plant a quick kiss on her cheek. ”
  • “He holds up his fist, and I knock mine to his, then Rick piles on, then Harlan slams his hard against the top. “To the pact,” Jones says, and we echo his words.”
  • “but the kiss feels like it’s for me, not the lens.”
  • “This kiss is ours, and as my lips crush hers, she melts under me.”
  • “she’s in my bed, wearing nothing but one of my jerseys.”
  • “You’re in so far over your head.” I level him with my gaze. “And I saw the way you looked at Jillian.”
  • “Violet’s eyes widen when I say my girl, and I flash her a smile. She feels like my girl. For real.”
  • “I’m in love with her,” I repeat, this time with the certainty I feel inside. In my heart.”
  • “I’m crazy fucking in love with her. Like, to-the-moon-and-back shit. Like rest of my life, no one else, she’s the one. The sun and all the stars in the sky.”
  • “You love her?” “More than I love football.”
  • “You’re so crazy, and I’m so in love with you, and you better have meant every word.”

Simply amazing....
I literally had to stop reading after a few chapters because I thought my heart was about to burst.
Seriously. She's done it again.
Can't say anything else. You HAVE to read it.

Cooper and Violet, wow loved this book. I love all Lauren Blakely stories and this one was over the top. I want more like this one. The romance is amazing, the story flowed perfectly, I read it in one sit and still wanted more.

Cute and without the extended and annoyingly dragged-out misunderstandings that characterize so many romance novels to keep the couple apart. It was nice to see everyone approaching things pretty sensibly. I'm not a football fan so that part just kind of counted as vague window dressing to me but it was cute.
