It was disgustingly CUTE AND ADORABLE! It was fun, light and drama free romance. Everything I love is in the same book. Fake dating and from crushes to lovers

You all know Lauren Blakely is my jam! I was SO excited to have the chance to review Most Valuable Playboy. I always look forward to Blakely’s books for a sweet, easy, enjoyable read. I’m not going to say that Blakely’s work is fluff because it’s not…but it’s a book that I know going in will be a little lighter and always lovable. I have come to expect main characters I will fall in love with, lots of great laughs, and a sweet not overly smutty storyline. Most Valuable Playboy was definitely not different from what I have come to expect with Blakely. In fact this might be one of my favorite books from her so far!

Most Valuable Playboy is the story of two friends who start off pretending to date to save each other and end up falling in love. This is a pretty standard trope in romance but I still love it every time! I not only love a fake relationship story, friends to lovers is one of my all time favorite tropes to read… add on top of that Cooper is best friends with her brother and I was in trope heaven! I loved that we got to go on the journey with Cooper and Violet (especially Cooper) as they come to realize their love runs deeper than just friends. This book is written strictly from Cooper’s POV, and while sometimes I don’t enjoy books with just one POV, I always enjoy reading the male specific books we get from Blakely. I don’t know what it is, mostly I think its just that I like getting to see into the male characters head…(I mean come on I already know how women think!!) but I just love it!

This book had everything I could want. I loved the evolution of Cooper ad Violet and their relationship and chemistry. This is most definitely another sexy addition to Lauren Blakely’s list!

description

Most Valuable Playboy was another fantastic book by Lauren Blakely! Blakely is definitly my go-to author if I want a great and funny romance, and so far, I’ve loved every single book that I read by her.

Obviously I loved the writing, and the fact that this book is told exclusively through Cooper’s POV was an added bonus. You guys know how much I love a book told only through the guy’s point of view, they’re usually fantastic, and Blakely always does an amazing job with those.

Cooper was just such an amazing guy to read about. He’s confident and fun, but he’s also not afraid of his feelings, and he faces things head on. I loved this. I was a bit scared that the fact that Violet was his BFF’s little sister would be a problem, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the way that Cooper dealt with all his issues. Violet was also a delight, and even though I like a book written only through the guy’s POV, I always feel like we don’t get to know the lady as well, but hey, I’ll take it, because from what I could see, she was fantastic and the most perfect match for Cooper.

These two together were all kinds of adorable! They just fit perfectly together, and they were just meant to be. Their chemistry was also off the charts and the hot scenes were, well, HOT! And the fact that they were already super great friends before they got involved, only made everything better, because it was so clear that they actually KNEW each other on a much deeper level.

This story was so cute. I really liked it, and I adored the plot and the depth of the feelings these characters had for one another. I definitly recommend Most Valuable Playboy, another amazing book by Lauren Blakely.

I loved this one! Not only is it an easy read, but it's a cute-but-not-stupid-cute story, too. It's got some of my favorite tropes in it, but it's not outrageously done. Who wouldn't love childhood friends/crushes + fake relationship + friends to lovers all in one story??
