Most Valuable Playboy is a friends to lovers sports romance. Violet bids on Cooper in a charity auction to save him from a sports reporter who has been giving him unwanted attention. They end up in a fake dating situation and the romance sparks from there. This romcom was fun to listen to with plenty of heat and sweet moments.

Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke narrate this book in duet and are wonderful. You cannot go wrong with these two. They brought the romance and chemistry between the characters to life and I enjoyed both of their performances!

I am a big fan of Lauren Blakely's books. Most of them are written in the first person from the guy's perspective. MVP is no exception to that format.

Cooper Anderson is the quarterback for the San Francisco football team. He has been the backup for years, and now he's in the starting role. Due to this new role, he's been keeping it in his pants, and that is a rule he is not looking to break.

Each year, his team participates in a charity auction for the SF Children's hospital, and the quarterback is always the main attraction. Cooper has a problem though - the team owner's sister, Maxine, is very interested in the quarterback, and she has been very vocal about it. And it's making Coop uncomfortable.

Enter Coop's friend Violet. Actually Vi is his best friend's sister, someone Coop has known for years. Vi is a hair stylist in the Bay Area, and is doing hair for the event. Coop tells Vi that if Maxine is bidding on Coop, he wants Vi to outbid her and he will pay for it. Vi ends up winning Coop, and Coop explains to the crowd that Vi is his girlfriend, and plants a big kiss on her in front of the crowd.

Violet shop has seen a huge pick up in business since the Bay discovered she's dating the QB.  Cooper is in a contract year, and his agent tells him to keep up the façade up having Violet as his girlfriend. It benefits them both.

As you can imagine, they realize they have feelings for each other. This story is just so cute. I loved Cooper. He is a good guy, who loves his mom and takes good care of her. Violet is sweet and funny, and was a great character.

I have not read a Lauren Blakely book yet that I didn't like, and this was no exception. Solid read; I would recommend.

It was entertaining but sometimes I forgot the mmc was 26 instead of 17/18 with some of the things he was saying.. also i wasn’t super convinced he wasn’t just infatuated with her.
