I'm gonna say 4.5 on this one. Still really great but I had some issues by the end.
I realized that the books do NOT read like the characters are 15/13 (14/12 to start out) but more like 19/16. I think the whole "romance" side of it (as little of it as there was) would have been better if they were older.
As smart as they BOTH are supposed to be, neither figured out about Walt, and I find that pretty dumb. Carter says he did at the end, but big deal, he finally figured it out. I knew what was going on in book 2.
So, a few flaws but otherwise a great trilogy. I hope the Kane's make an appearance again.

this was possibly the most sarcastic book I ever read. and how on earth does a thirteen-year-old get more romance than I have in my whole life? (that is a rhetorical question)
Same as the previous ones.
Specifically, some thing were pretty predictable but it didn't lost the entertaining and fun aspects.
The interesting part is: even being the last one of the trilogy, this book didn't make me feel as a farewell moment and that was good. Usually I don't like the ending of any series just because it's sad to say goodbye to the story and characters, but it didn't happened here and I liked the plot and characters a lot, it's a very positive sign! XD
Enjoy.

This is such an enjoyable series. I love the relationships between the characters, the history that is sprinkled throughout, and the adventures. I did find that this one was a little long in the middle and a little short at the big battle, but it is still attention holding. Also, the whole Sadie/Walt/Aubis thing ended just way too weird. Despite that, this is one of the best series.
Plus, Katherine Kellgren and Kevin R. Free do a great job narrating!
