The Kane siblings are tasked with taking the chaos snake Apophis down once and for all, which of course proves to be very difficult. To make matters worse, the House of Life magicians are close to breaking out in a civil war and the Egyptian gods are divided. Carter and Sadie realize that to take down Apophis, they need an ancient spell—one that only a murderous, but powerful, magician can lead them to.
This was a great conclusion to this trilogy. Sadly I didn’t find it as humorous as the other books, but it was still enjoyable. I also liked how there was a nod to Camp Half-Blood, as Drew Tanaka made a small appearance in this!
I’m sad to say goodbye to the Kane siblings, but I’m sure I will reread at some point!
* Disclaimer - I honestly just gave this five stars for the nostalgia. Not sure if my rating would be the same or different if this did not belong to the Riordanverse!

Oh my! It's finally dooooone!
It's both happy and sad. It ended on a happy note. Sadie, Carter, Walt and Zia all had a happy ending together -- which was my favorite part obviously. They saved the world and their loved ones, which is also cool.
Sadie's mother's premonition is pretty clear. They'll be meeting with Percy Jackson and company. Long island? Other gods? She was definitely hinting on a cross over there. Riordan is quite clever sneaking that in. I can't wait to see what happens when their worlds collide! It'll be epic for sure!
I enjoyed the last book of the series tremendously. Sadie is quite the storyteller and her arguments with Carter are always so amusing. She's another kick-ass heroine joining the ranks of Annabeth in Riordan's world of demigods and magicians. As usual, I can't help but commend Riordan's ability to develop his characters. The maturity in Carter and Sadie in this arc was great; Carter especially with his pharoah-ness and all that. I am gonna miss these characters as much as I already miss Percy.
And just for the record, I was (am) on Team Anubis. I liked how it all worked out for Sadie. Lucky girl!
One word to describe this book: Brilliant!

I don't think there has been a time where I haven't liked Rick Riordan book. I'm not going to say the books are perfect, they're not by any means, but I am mood reader and this brought so much comfort and joy that I couldn't not put five stars.
Carter is me, I am Carter. I have never felt like this with a character before. I understand he is awkwardness his fear for leadership and how uncomfortable he was sometimes when talking to people. I also understood his anger at times, how he couldn't control it and how passionate he was about some things. He is definitely one of my comfort characters after reading this.
On the other hand, Saddie was his complete opposite and a firecracker. I loved how energetic she was but because I'm someone that likes to think before they act I was very annoyed with some of the things she did. But that's just because of my character. I really loved how she care for her family and friends and how far she's come from the first book.
The thing that I'm still iffy about is the whole Walt and Anubis thing. Don't get me wrong I love both characters and it's the first time that I really liked the love triangle but I don't know about what happened in the end.
Overall it was a great book. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. I really enjoyed diving into another kind of mythology and learning about their gods and beliefs (also rick is by no means an expert in Egyptian mythology. This is a work of fiction but it had captured my attention making me want to actually learn more about it like it did with norse mythology and Magnus Chase). Definitely recommend reading!!

I loved this book. Rick Riordan never fails to bring out the child in me. The Red Pyramid is still my favorite out of the trilogy. I do wish that Sadie and Carter acted more like their age, especially when it comes to their love interests. The way they act and think towards the people they like seems a bit off (if you know what I mean). I loved everything else except the romantic parts of the book. It felt unnecessary. It wasn’t the best ending for a trilogy to me, and I wasn’t exactly satisfied with how it ended, but it did wrap the story nicely.
