she is a child. he was literally her mom’s boyfriend. like he fucked her mom then took her and her brother in for revenge and led her straight to the arms of FUCKING CAROLINE. he is a piece of shit. blah blah blah he was abused. YEAH! THAT IS EXACTLY WHY ONE WOULD ASSUME HIM TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND HOW THE GAPING DISPARITY BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM WOULD MEAN THAT THEY ARE NOT FIT TO BE TOGETHER BECAUSE THE POWER DYNAMIC PUT HER AT DISGUSTING ODDS OF BEING HARMED BY HIM. OH WAIT SHE ALREADY HAS! NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT HE WAS FUCKING HER MOM A BOOK AGO. HIS DICK WAS LITERALLY STILL WET WITH YOUR DEAD MOTHER BIANCA

also what do these people have against using a condom. like just one time. PUHLEZE !!

“I’ve done countless things in my life that I should not have done, but loving you is the best mistake I ever made.”

I knew at the start that I was going to just skim Beautiful Nightmare since that's basically what I did with the previous book. I was invested enough in the characters and story to see how it ended. I loved seeing a different, kinder side from the MMC. Brando and The Gentlemen were still my favorites. I also thought the ending was a bit abrupt.

We find ourselves at The Met, right where Dangerous Temptation ended.

Following a shoot-out in the gallery that left both Tiernan and Bryant wounded, Bianca has fled with Caroline, the Constantine matriarch, to her Bishop’s Landing compound.

Overhearing a questionable conversation, Bianca recalibrates, recognizing that no one in either family can be trusted with her best interest, save for Elias, the only one who doesn’t want something from her. As such, knowing he can’t stop her, he agrees to be her partner as she unravels just what it is that Catherine Constantine wants from her.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Bishop’s Landing, Lion Court is infiltrated with Morellis who have had enough of Bryant’s tyrannical behavior and are ready to, not only reconcile, but join forces with Tiernan to overthrow the head of the family.

What follows is the action-packed story of how Tiernan and Bianca shed their past, reconcile their losses, and move forward amid a myriad twists and unraveled secrets.

“He was this contradiction only my heart could decipher. A lovely monster. A beautiful nightmare.“

The secondary characters were some of my favorites. Brando stole my heart and I wish I had my own trio of Gentleman.

Beautiful Nightmare was in fact a beautiful ending for the Dark Dreams duet by Giana Darling. In this book, we see much more of the cruelness of Carolina Constantine and Tiernan does everything in his power to protect and in a way rescue Bianca from her clutches. Tiernan and Bianca’s relationship proved that true love never actually goes away or even lessen. At one point, things got so emotional that I seriously cried ugly tears; you’ll know what I mean when you get to read that part. Two days past and I am still sensitive over it.
There are two quotes in Beautiful Nightmare that I will never forget and I want to share them here. The first one was;

“Tragedy was the great equalizer.”

I’ve never realized it before but now when I think about it, I understand how true that is and the quote really resonated with me.

The other quote was more specific to Tiernan and Bianca and it was beautiful. This is why I love reading Giana Darling books.

“I’made you bleed since the moment I met you, but now I’m bleeding out without you.”

Last but not least, I was really moved by Tiernan’s ( who happens to be hardened by cruel punishments and lack of emotion by his father) complete and utter affection towards Bianca’s little brother Brando, and to be honest, he is my favorite character in both books. I fell in love with the bundle of joy and his pure and trusting heart.

I am really looking forward to reading more by Giana Darling. Whatever she puts out there, I will be loyally reading it. She truly never disappoints.

Bianca and Tiernan are back, and it was well worth the wait! Tiernan is quite possibly everything I've ever wanted in a dark hero; dirty talk for DAYS, broody, not afraid to get his hands dirty with the hard parts of his job and yet, ever the planner/thinker. In this book I really feel like the blinders came off for him, and once that happened he was like a chess player thinking several moves ahead.
Bianca went through her own growth as well, finally seeing things for how they actually were and not just the way she wanted and hoped for them to be.
This book had my three favorite H's, humor, heart and HEAT! I loved Brandon in there to pull at the heartstrings and for the comic relief. Just a well done book and while I am truly satisfied with the end of Bianca and Tiernan's story, I still can't wait for the next Midnight Dynasty book! These people should be on Springer lol

This also wasn't good. The writing was just poor in comparison to the anti hero duet. The book had potential but it all felt childish and silly.

I have been so excited to get back into Bianca and Tiernan's story and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. In this book we pick up where we left off with Bianca learning about Tiernans lies and betrayal and let me tell you I was so excited to see how Tiernan was going to fix this because who doesn't love a good grovel from their fictional men! and my god did my heart swoon for him this book! I loved how he realised what he had in front of him how there was a life, love and family. In book 1 Tiernan was so harsh and cold but in this one we get to see him finally let some of those walls down, his love for Brando how he treated him as if he was he own honestly made me love him more.

Bianca is just so wise beyond her years, she had to grow up before her time and it shows in her actions and her strength, she's so determined to uncover the secrets being hidden from her and get answers about what her dad was hiding from his family. No matter how she tried she can't help but love Tiernan and the connection between the 2 of them is *chef kisses!!

Beautiful Nightmare has so much character growth, suspense, action, love, family and some of the best spice and dirty talk! I didn't want this story to end and I can't wait to get the epilogue to see what lay ahead for one of my favourite couples!
