4.5!

Another amazing read by Giana Darling. I expect nothing less from her!

I really enjoyed Bianca and Tiernan’s story. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Tiernan cause he was an absolute dick in the beginning, but Bianca and Brando definitely wore him down. I loved the found family aspect.

The overall plot to this one was enticing! Giana gave us not one, but two different villains to worry about. So, it was def fun reading! I was kept on my toes. I appreciate the hard work she puts into all of her stories. She gives us amazing characters and equally amazing and developed side characters. I loved The Gentleman

I loved [a:Giana Darling|14901102|Giana Darling|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1548466614p2/14901102.jpg]'s books the moment I read the Anti-heroes in love duet and this new one got me so excited to enter into the Morelli-Constantine world of rivalry of the Midnight Dynasty. NGL, Bianca & Tiernan's age gap was wierd to me at first, but in the first book, Bianca was wise beyond her age that it didn't feel like she was a teenager.

"He was this contradiction only my heart could decipher. A lovely monster. A beautiful nightmare."

This book showed some of her lack of experience and because of some decisions she took, I wasn't very impressed with her but the love she had for Brandon & Tiernan made it easy to overlook her stupidity. You can easily see the chemistry between Tiernan & Bianca in this book because it contained so many soft, heartfelt and intense moments- both with Brandon and the Morelli brothers. Tiernan finally got the happiness he craved for and Bianca was able to find answers for herself that helped her to get closure.

"I’ve made you bleed since the moment I met you, but now I’m bleeding without you."

Overall, the duet was filled with mystery, lies, deceit, some humor and shocking twists but Brandon was the highlight of both the books for me!
The Midnight Dynasty world has so many characters with their own distinct personalities, hidden agendas and powerful secrets which will leave us wanting for more which is why I can't wait for the next book in this world to come out and explore more of these characters.

Beautiful Nightmare is the action-packed, passion-filled conclusion to Tiernan and Bianca’s whirlwind romance. I enjoyed this one. Secrets, revenge, age gap, mafia, Giana Darling definitely kept my attention.

The character arcs had to be my favorite part of this book. We got to see many different sides to both. Tiernan in particular. Dare I say, he showed a softer, more compassionate side. Don’t get me wrong. He’s still every bit the "touch what’s mine and I’ll end you" alpha we met in book one. And he still radiated raw intensity. I was just drawn more to his vulnerability. He made it very difficult not to fall for him especially after every interaction with Brando or his utter devotion to Bianca or his bond with his found family, The Gentlemen. I really liked this Tiernan.

As for Bianca. My feelings definitely wavered back and forth in the beginning. She would do things that reminded me oh yeah she’s just a young seventeen year old girl who makes questionable decisions. However, from about the middle on, I was a thousand percent team Bianca. I thought she was a fierce, determined warrior. I loved her tenacity and her resoluteness for answers. And of course her love for her brother.

Now, while I did enjoy Beautiful Nightmare, in comparison to Dangerous Temptation, it was a bit of a let down. Hence the 3.5 rating. I don't know how to explain it. I just didn't get that same "I'm desperate for this book" feeling. I wasn't wowed. That being said, I still think the Dark Dream Duet is worth a read.

If you are looking for a great suspenseful romance look no further! I really enjoyed Beautiful Nightmare! It was a great action packed book! There for sure was never a dull moment! It was a great conclusion to Tiernan and Bianca’s story. If age gap, dark romance, forbidden romances are some favorite tropes of yours this will be right up your alley! You will definitely want to read the first book before you read this one! You will have missed a big chunk of what’s going on if you read this one first! I was not ready for this one to end. I recommend this one most definitely!

Received a arc for a honest review.

This is book 2 and cannot be read as a stand-alone. If you haven’t read Dangerous Temptation yet go start there and then come back.

Beautiful Nightmare picks up right where DT left off. Bianca is feeling betrayed by Tiernan’s secret and now she’s stepped right into the awaiting arms of the Constantine Monarch, Caroline. But will she be her savior or her ruin. If she ever found out the truth of Bianca’s lineage she would be in grave danger in Caroline’s hands. No longer trusting Tiernan’s intentions she plans to remove herself and Brandon from his influence permanently, but she can’t help thinking if the Devil she knows is better than the Devil she doesn’t?

Tiernan is well aware that he’s messed things up good this time. He has rearranged his priorities to put his new family: Bianca, Brandon, and the Gentleman first and revenge plans second. When he gets some unexpected allies things start to come together but he still needs to convince his sweet little thing to trust him again. Can these two come together to overcome their enemies together? Will they finally find the acceptance and love they have sought their whole lives for or will their circumstances keep them apart.

Okay Tiernan completely won me over. His character evolution from complete in Bad Dream to this gorgeous strong man in BN was just perfection. Bianca also really came into her own. No longer the gentle dove but now a strong BA fighter. She will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves. The steam in this one was smoking hot. Their initial reunion scene was everything we needed from these two. I love how despite their large age gap their relationship ended up being balanced perfectly in the end.

My only wish is that those who hurt our MCs had gotten worse. I think they got off easy compared to what they dished out though I understand why it was important for Tiernan’s character growth to have things end the way they did.

I really enjoyed this duet and if you love an age-gap, guardian- ward dark romance you will love this duet as well.

Thanks to Giana and Valentine PR for providing with an early copy to review!

why is she 17 and he is 30-

I loved this conclusion. Bianca and Tiernan have been through so much and they still have to endure some hardships in this book.
This picks up right where the last book left off. Bianca is now in the hands of Caroline Constantine and Tiernan cutting ties with his father.
And even though he hates being separated from Bianca, he knows he has things to make up for and that he has to win her back.

Thankfully Bianca is able to quickly see through the false facets of her new guardian. She makes new allies and is able to discover the legacy her father left her and her brother.

This found family that also have is another of my favorite aspects. The way the Gentlemen take it upon themselves to take care of Bianca and Brando.
There is one scene between Tiernan and Brando that left me in tears as I was reading.

"I've done countless things in my life that I should not have done, but loving you is the best mistake I ever made.."

This book picks right back up the night where Bianca becomes aware of Tiernan's impending betrayal. Devastated, she leaves with the enemy, the Constantines. And after the fight with his father, Tiernan is now shot and heading home alone to Lion's Court to lick his wounds.

Bianca is struggling at the Constantine compound. She feels she can no longer turn to Tiernan, but also can't stand the fact his has Brando, and is desperate to get him back. Caroline Constantine makes it all too appealing for Bianca to turn down. Fancy clothes, beautiful home, and the promise of a bright future. But only if Bianca never involves herself with the Morelli family again. But Bianca has a feeling that Caroline has another purpose for keeping Bianca and for not fighting for Brando, more than likely one to her benefit.

Tiernan is not handling the separation well, and even breaks into the compound to see Bianca. She tries to fight him on everything but the pull between them is too strong. Tiernan will stop at nothing in order to get Bianca back. But Bianca is determined to dig deeper into her father's family to see what lies beneath, to see if her father really loved her the way he claimed. At the same time, Tiernan is determined to take down Bryant once and for all and finds himself with some unexpected help.

I absolutely love the dynamic between Bianca and Tiernan, and how their very unlikely relationship came to be. With that being said, I definitely wanted and needed more from this book. I wanted more of the home life with them at Lion's Court. More with Brando and more with the Gentlemen. I loved the family unit they became and just needed more. The ending fell a little flat for me. I wanted to see Bryant go down in flames but in the end we get to see Tiernan finally break the cycle of violence and move on with his life and the Belcantes.

Shoutout to Valentine PR for providing me with an ARC of this anticipated sequel in the Dark Dream duet set in the midnight dynasty universe. Being in the midnight dynasty universe, this duet does contain dark themes.

Beautiful Nightmare picks up right where Dangerous Temptation left off (so it cannot be read as a standalone). Bianca finally has found out who Tiernan really is - A member of her fathers rival family; the Morelli clan, & she decides to turn into the one person's arms she thought she never would; Caroline Constantine. Her late father's wife.

While Tiernan cuts off ties with his father & decides he no longer wants to be a Morelli, he realises his heart is with Bianca & he will do anything to get her back. Even if that includes giving her space & finding herself. But as Bianca discovers secrets of the Constantine family, she realises her right place is by Tiernan's side.

Bianca & Tiernan then work together in taking down their enemies & finding that happy ever after either doesn't think they deserve but they truly do.

I enjoyed this story. It was a great ending to their duet love story. It was both addictive & steamy. But also still kept the midnight dynasty mysteries & secrets well involved. I also loved how Giana included previous characters from the other books including Leo & Lucian Morelli. I applaud Giana for writing like she has always belonged in this world & thank her for doing this duet justice.

4/5 stars with 3.5/5 steam.
