Like others, these books serve as palette cleansers for me. They are a fun jaunt, but nothing memorable or earth shattering.
I am most definitely reading this entire series out of order. Mostly because of a challenge but I think it will all work out in the end? If not, I can only blame myself - right?
311 Pelican Court is the third installment of this series. In this, you will get to meet Zach and Rosie. While I say meet them, I knew that they were introduced in the previous book but I haven't read that one yet - so, yeah, I just met them now. They were okay but definitely had to put in some work/effort in order to become a stronger couple. It wasn't necessarily easy for them but relationships never are.
Out of the two, I don't really have a favorite because I wanted to slap them both multiple times throughout the book. Besides them, there's a ton of other characters in this book and lots of things to get distracted by. There's also a little mystery added in between all of this romance and drama.. and I just sat back and enjoyed the book.
In the end, it was interesting and a quick read.

A mixture of a little mystery and romance, Debbie’s (small town soap opera) at 311 Pelican Court involves an array of colorful characters in Cedar Cove. Dan (Grace’s husband) leaves his family and later his body is found with a suicide note (incident which occurred during Vietnam which troubled him throughout his life and could no longer live with the events). Later in the story there is a connection when another stranger was found dead at the local B&B.
From online crazy romances to the divorce of Zach and Rosie, Judge Olivia (back and forth with ex-husband Stan or newspaper guy Jack), and Grace is who online with some married man and trying to develop a relationship with Cliff, and her daughter Mary Ellen, her baby and the baby’s father.
Not one of my favorites with so much drama; however, the audio was nicely done. Debbie is a talented writer and look forward to reading more.

I completely flew through this book. I love this series. The characters are mostly likable, and the setting is one of my favorites. Debbie Macomber's novels are like a warm, cozy blanket. They usually end happy- which is very comforting- since real life can be so mean and cruel sometimes. Most of the characters this time around were very stubborn, and it was a little frustrating. There were a few new characters I didn't like- Roy and Corrie McAfee, and Stanley Lockhart, to name a few. I am enjoying how there are new characters in each novel, and the ones from the previous book are still talked about. It makes for keeping track of a lot of people, but once you get into the story and style, you get used to it and I'm finally getting them all straight after the third book. Can't wait to read the next!
What a great book. There are quite a few stand up and cheer moments in this book. I love the mystery thread that's been weaving in and out of this series too.

A cozy, PG-13 romance that covers a number of romantic relationships in Cedar Cove. I picked it up at an airport before a flight because the cover is pretty and finished it before we landed. Easy to read, predictable, not too racy, interesting enough characters to keep me engaged when I want something pretty fluffy. I haven't read anything else in this series and it was not a problem even though it's the third book.
Definitely some irritating moral judgments (by modern feminist standards) passed by characters in the book; not sure if they're the author's views or she's just having some characters be realistic while also slightly frustrating, just like real humans with moral codes I disagree with.

I am really enjoying the Cedar Cove series. It is a nice break from the dark books I tend to read. It is nice to see how the story lines progress.

Lovely little series. Didn’t expect to love it so much. The characters are so endearing and you just can’t stop reading because you’re so invested in their lives. Can’t wait to read the next book
