Rage Of Angels

Sidney Sheldon

As a law student, I love reading from a lawyer's pov. And I loved Jennifer! My favorite Sydney Sheldon book without a doubt

Classic Sheldon, fast paced with interesting characters, especially a strong female lead, and an unpredictable plot. Loved it but the ending was a bit underwhelming.

**HEAVY SPOILER ALERT**
Jessica Parker had been a lawyer all her life. Even before she became a lawyer, her dad seemed to have instilled in her qualities that made it seem obvious that she would become a lawyer. This story woven intricately by Sidney Sheldon describes her staggered lifestyle, varying between extreme conditions of happiness and sorrow; and one cannot help but revel in her joy and empathize with her during her times of grief.
The woman cared not for money or for the luxury that came of it. All she wanted was to love and to be loved. She found it in the arms of two men, both of who deserted her at one point or another. The one shimmer of hope at a happy life came in the form of her son, born out of wedlock and extenuating circumstances, but loved by his mother nonetheless. But even he is snatched away from her by the cruel hand of Fate.
This is a story of strength,of love, of loss,of success and of failure. In circumstances where any other woman might have given up all hope, Jessica Parker stood strong.
Take a bow, Sidney Sheldon. You have succeeded in keeping me glued to a chair till I'm done with yet another brilliant masterpiece of yours.

Sidney Sheldon is one of my favourite authors. His books are always a pleasure to read. Rage of Angels is another great work by Sidney Sheldon. They way he sketched his characters amazes me. The plot of the story as well as the pace of the story is super fast. You never realize that this book is of humungous 500+ pages. Like a person greedy for water drinking more and more, you turn pages to read this book with greed.
I personally feel that I'm not even qualified to review this book. But here I am anyway.
Overall, it's an enjoyable read for all who love thrillers.

This book stands out as one of the top that pissed me off more than any other. The writer is talented but there were so many slap in the face moments from the plot that I can't even...I was depressed for days after reading this one.

is there any way i can give this –1 stars

i read this in 3 days.

I read this book after I was done with the Twilight series about 3 and a half years back. I found it kick-ass cause then was the time I had resumed reading and that was the time I had even liked the whole Twilight series. *hangs head in shame*
So this book had a lot of drama. It even got me emotional once. The story was really long as Sidney Sheldon's books are normally. But I liked it. So it's going to be 3.5. If I re-read it, which I won't, I would have given it the fair rating it deserved, but since I read it long back, I'll give it the benefit of doubt and rate it more than I usually rate books.

This is classic Sheldon at his best. Don't get it twisted, the crap TV movie Sequel The Rage Of Angels: The Story Continues has nothing to do with this book.

This is a lawyer tale about a lawyer names Jennifer Parker. She's young, ambitious, about her business, and is trying to set the legal world on their asses. She just became Assistant DA in NY when the book opens. Unbeknownst to her, she's drug into a mob plot to get Michael Moretti out of being tried for crimes against him and his mob family. They use her and make her look like a fool without her knowing it. Her boss, DA Di Silva, doesn't buy it and thinks Jennifer's in on it. He's so pissed he gets a hard on for destroying her life and career over losing his mob target including disbarring her. As she's being investigated by dashing lawyer hopeful Adam Warner, her innocence comes to light and a little romance too (though Adam's already married). The mob love her determination and Moretti starts falling for her too.

Then the drama starts. Adam's wife Mary Beth plays like she's going to divorce him and gets knocked up on purpose to trap him and end his affair/love with Jennifer. Problem is, Jennifer's knocked up too but after Adam says he's staying with his wifeepoo fails to tell him she's preggers. So she goes off, has the baby in secret, and gets back to the courtroom. Meanwhile Moretti makes his move for her which she refuses, until family matters force her to ask him for help. One thing leads to another, they sleep together, and now she's the mob's Tom Hagen.

From here out everything that could go wrong does, and in the end Jennifer is left with nothing she didn't earn.

Read it.

Loved the book, but not so much of a fan of the ending. Poor Jennifer went through so much just to end up right back where she started, alone.
