This book is perfect for the woman who thinks she has to have it all under control. Spoiler alert: You don't! I didn't used to think this was me but as I read more and more, I realized how much I used control as a crutch...and that it is the source of my anxiety and depression most, if not all, of the time. Jennifer Dukes Lee has a way of writing that opened my eyes to the truth with love and grace always pointing me to biblical truths and Jesus. I don't find books like these easy to read usually but this one kept me turning the page, nodding my head and praying for clarity in my own life. I would love to do the companion bible study as well to further my study and focus on the One who does have it all under control... who loves me even still when I falter and fall. Highly recommend this book!

It’s All Under Control by Jennifer Dukes Lee is helping me balance giving God my best while remaining busy. Reality is busy will probably always be, but it’s important to balance busy to make sure we give our best to God and this read helps navigate in that direction. Thank you Jennifer for such awesome words!

DID NOT FINISH

I was going through this with my women's Bible study class and I missed the last couple sessions. I plan to finish it I just don't know when.

This book was another book that I took a lot from- 4 pages in notes and several quotes added to my “quote book”. I’d describe this book as a Christian self-help book for identifying how to work on one’s control issues, how to work on quieting your life, figuring out some of the purpose/plan of one’s life, and presence in one’s life.

Jenny does a great job of introducing her own struggles with God’s plan, control issues and figuring out who she is. I loved how she opened with the following in her intro...
Pg xiii-She has lived by fear, instead of by faith. She worries about things more than she prays about them. She wants to let go and she doesn’t. Can someone show her where to start? This is her life. She wants to live it. She is me. And maybe she is you too.

A couple more to good to not share...
Pg 13- I see how you never say no because you can’t handle the idea of disappointing anyone.

Pg36- we manage our lives instead of living them.

Pg 145- when frustration comes, remember this: The most important work you ever do might outlive you.

Pg 153- A quiet space exposes truth.

It was pretty good, but geared more towards moms.

This is a great book - definitely one that should be revisited often. Very helpful for those of us who struggle with trying to be God in our own lives, and in the lives of others around us.

Love her work. Appreciate the reminder of just how hsrd it is to let go and let God.

Very good read. I love Lee's easy, conversational style. Whatever the message is in one of her books, it's guaranteed that she's lived it before she delivers it to the reader. Letting go of control resonates with me, and the examples Lee shares with the Reader are spot on. Highly recommended.

Great Bible Study on "letting go, hanging on and finding a peace you almost forgot was possible." Jennifer Dukes Lee leads you through the Bible to figure out what's truly importat in your life, where you can release what isn't serving you, hold onto the good and find peace in the process.

If you find yourself burning the candle at both ends, this is a great study for you. It helps you prioritize, realizing what is truly your passion and what is not under your control.

Great accompaniment to the same-titled book. Guide allows you to work through the items discussed in the book. You could use it without the book, but you will gain more benefit by working through them in tandem.
