You can’t convince me these guys are psychopaths lol

it was interesting

This book was interesting at some parts, but there was a lot of parts that felt a bit like fluff. I would’ve liked to have learned more about what happened on that night in 1823, and would’ve also liked to have seen the Halloween Boys’ characters more clearly and developed. I’m sure some of this stuff will probably come through in the rest of the series, but that was how I felt. As for Blythe, I kind of felt that she was a weak character. Once she became Death at the very try end, she started to have more of a backbone, but her naivety and fear made her seem stupid at times.

This book was a real mixed bag:
The Halloween Town vibes? ✨Immaculate✨
The side characters? Absolutely Delightful.
The FMC? She’s “not like other girls”

Quite literally obsessed with this book

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a good job. At the beginning of the audio it seemed to have some static or feedback in the background but it did go away.

“My fascination with Blythe Pearl was only growing. Her fear called to me like a siren. Devils, it tasted so sweet.”

I loved this spooky and sexy book! Blythe is being haunted by her stepfather and stumbles upon a small town. She quickly realizes this town is not normal as well as many of the residents. When she happens to meet a new therapist she is instantly attracted to him. Ames has several different names amongst many more secrets. He is not a good guy and neither are the other Halloween Boys. He may be a therapist but he could also be someone’s worst nightmare. The relationship between Blythe and Ames was so good. The tension was high and the spicy scenes were very hot. This paranormal romance was really fun to read and had some unique creatures and characters. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was a new world for me - I’m not big into horror and this definitely had a lot of horror. However, it was well structured and had mystery to pull the story forward. Blythe had a moving backstory and Ghost was a true villain.
Blythe is on the run and ends up in a town that is obsessed with Halloween and not on any map. She runs into a handsome psychologist that she has chemistry with, and notices she has a stalker with a skull painted face. Of course, nothing is as it seems and the line between normal and paranormal blurs.
The spice was interesting and was a bit much for me personally, but that’s because it had a lot of fear and some blood play.

Triggers: horror, murder, gore, abuse, mental health issues

This happens sometimes where I need to read the sequel before I can decide how I really feel about the first in the series. I read the whole thing, so that's something. Right now, my instincts are saying the best review is, "Disney's Halloweentown but make it smutty."
