Once you realize that Holden is a child, it really changes how you look at this. He's immature and hates everything but I think that's most teenagers. He's also already running around, no supervision at 16, doing adult things because they were expected to act that way. The obsession with "phony" reminds me of the new "cringe" immaturity and holds weight for today's world. I felt for him despite his immaturity, sibling loss and a general lack of direction and hope in life--it's relatable to me when I was a teen.

La verdad es que a mí la novela me ha gustado bastante, quizás me esperaba algo más, por lo bien que he oído hablar siempre de ella, pero en líneas generales esta muy bien, me gusta mucho como Holden trata de dar sentido al caos que tiene en su cabeza y de intentar lidiar con la pena que aun siente por la pérdida de su hermano, en especial me ha encantado su relación con su hermana Phoebe.

Para mí ha sido una buena lectura, totalmente recomendable.
